The True Story of the Brutal Texas Murder That Destroyed a Family
The True Story of the Brutal Texas Murder That Destroyed a Family

Review:This is very much an accurate account of what occurred that tragic night in East Texas. I live just a few miles from this terrible family tragedy & to this day I can't get it out of my mind. I pray for the father every day ~ going through this had to be so horrific. Read more

The Allegory of Love
The Allegory of Love

Review:The cover was wrapped around all of the pages and glued very neatly to the spine. All pages were of an off-white of which facilitated a more pleasant reading experience. The inked letters had clearly defined edges and all of the words were legible. All in all a very well made book. Read more

The Pilgrim's Regress
The Pilgrim's Regress

Review:"You get what you pay for" applies here. Extremely reasonably priced, it was nice to read the book and see the plates. I assume they are reproductions of the original.

Production values are truly wanting here. There are notes/references inserted right into the prose, with no indication of what they are, breaking up sentences and ruining the flow of the narrative.

The reproduction of the illustrations are a disaster! They are cut off near the top and duplicated with an extra bor... Read more

Extravagant Personality of Jesus - Experiencing the Playful
Extravagant Personality of Jesus - Experiencing the Playful

Review:I must agree with the other review. Heart changeing indeed. This is no average book, with no average message. Aldredge is able to give a vivid 3D perception on the personality of Jesus. Breaking away from the "norm" - this book will make you experience Jesus like you have never done before. Read more

A Map for the Masculine Journey - The Way of the Wild Heart
A Map for the Masculine Journey - The Way of the Wild Heart

Review:I loved Wild At Heart and how he restored masculinity in the church. The goal is not to train our men to be good, nice, coffee-klatsch women. There are parts of being a man that are God-given and shouldn't be set aside.

Now, as a father of two boys, trying to figure out how to be a good dad, this book is revolutionary. I am not the "outdoorsman" that Eldredge is, but we are having significant discussions at our church right now based on this book. I wish more ministers would embrace this ... Read more

Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior
Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior

Review:This is the wonderful sequel to his first book "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" and it is equally as entertaining and inspiring. There was a period of time in the first book to which the author eludes, but does not share the details, this book is based on the events that took place during that time. Once again, Dan Millman shares his adventures in an easy to read, entertaining format while still sharing insights that, if applied, will have a very positive effect on the readers' life. Read more

The Laws of Spirit: A Tale of Transformation
The Laws of Spirit: A Tale of Transformation

Review:The delivery was prompt and the book was in excellent condition! The Laws of Spirit were nicely organized so one could easily refer to any specific affirmation.at a glance. I loved Peaceful Warrior and highlighted many of Socrates lessons, but found it time consuming to relocate them. This book facilitated easy access to all lessons. Read more

Aleph
Aleph

Review:I guess you can at least say it unashamedly reveals where he is at : At the end of great career as a writer and running out of gas. I am very glad this man wrote the Alchemist and I am sure he has many more very good reads. There are glimpses of greatness here & there in this one but overall it feels forced. Read more

The Invitation
The Invitation

Review:The best thing about The Invitation is the first chapter: The invitation itself. Nice poetry. However, if you are a serious spiritual seeker, you are aware of the plight civilation has created for us. This societal design is seriously flawed, and the true spiritual seeker will realize the answer lies in a return to respect and co-existence for all living things which requires a self-less attitude - a departure from the <I deserve a break today> mentality and a return to community. B... Read more
