Chapter Books & Readers
Review:Great book for building self esteem for young kids who are trying to learn how to eat properly, use the bathroom properly, use proper manners, etc. Awesome illustrations! I wish you could buy a large, simplified version of the illustrations in a soloring book to go along with the book. Read more
Review:The beauty of this book is that it is interactive (especially for a baby/toddler fascinated by the word NO). The illustrations are clever and the text is simple enough for smaller children to understand and follow. Read more
Review:Something about The Doll People has my 8 year old enthralled. She has re-read it more than a dozen times. She carries it around as her comfort object since she's "too big for a stuffie, mama!" My opinion of why she loves it comes down to it is a safe adventure for her. The dolls take on all the risks and it's obviously not real since dolls aren't alive. Review:Very cute book series. My 6 year old daughter really likes them. They are a bit advances for her to read yet but they keep her attention when I read them to her. Looking forward to more fairy adventures. Read more
Review:Chapter book flimsy paper with black and white illustrations which are few and far between. The cover and pages seem very thin. But the stories are captivating and excite the imagination as you would hope. Read more
Review:Flat Stanley books are great books because they are funny and interesting. None of the books are similar to the other books in the series, and each book has a surprise. I also liked that the books have interesting illustrations, a lot of words on each page and the font is easy to read. (review by 8-year old son) Read more

Review:I bought this to start reading chapter books with my 5 year old son. I wasn't sure what was out there besides Captain Underpants (no thanks) so I found this in a search and we were amused by the synopsis. It's been fun to read and imagine what it would be like to be flat. We even got the idea from Stanley to send ourselves to relatives in other states. Read more
Review:The books were a Christmas gift for my two granddaughters, ages 7 & 6. They live in different cities and when one finishes a book she will mail it to her cousin so that both get to read all 9 books. They said that now they have their own book club. Love that they are resting at such young ages.r Read more
