Chapter Books & Readers
Review:Bought this based upon the rave reviews... But the overpriced Kindle edition completely falls flat. I was psyched to read it to my boy on my iPad, but the pages have too much white space around the images and in the two-page mode the pages are off by one, ruining the surprises and making the transitions messy.
So while this looks like a great book in hard copy, not in any way acceptable on the Kindle/iPad. Read more
Review:Wacky Wednesday was my son's favorite book when he was around 4 years old. He is now about to become a father and I ordered this book for him to read to my new granddaughter. The story is a great way to involve your child while you read to them. Each page has things that they can point out and it makes them proud when they correctly identify each "wacky" item.

Review:This style book has been my favorite for my daughter. The same type animation characters in a bunch of different books, and I have loved them all except this one. It is all right, but the flow is just awkward and on most pages there are only a few words anyway. Read more
Review:This book showed up in my recommended books because of reading some Dragon books by Chris d'Lacey and I thought I would give it a try. It is a good fun read and is now in the too be read list for my son and I to read together. There are currently 4 books available in this series with a 5th planned for the spring of 2016. The illustrations by Graham Howells are very wonderful and are on every page of the book. These books are geared for early readers from 1st-03rd grade and are set at a reading l... Read more
Review:Do you like to read books about interesting and unique main characters? Then I have the best book for you! This book is full of unique characters. Gooney Bird Greene is the best book! My students and I laughed out loud in every chapter. This book is a chapter book, but it is a short chapter book. A new girl, Gooney Bird Greene, moves to Watertower. She is excellet at telling stories. All her stories are absolutely true! One reason you should read this book is because it is too funny! For example... Read more
Review:The Magic Tree House books are a MUST READ collection for all children. Unlike many other series for young readers, the Magic Tree House should be read in chronological order to best appreciate Jack and Annie's travels through time as they go on various missions; which are typically completed in four parts. Parents and educators will enjoy going along for the ride as much as their students! My daughter is a teenager now but she still gets excited when she sees a new tree house adventure has come... Review:There are four separate but related stories in this "I CAN READ Book" and they are all delightful. They flow from one to the other so that first story has Little Bear visiting his grandparents, while the second and third stories are tales that Little Bear's grandmother and then grandfather tell him. And the final story has Little Bear's parents coming to take him home after a wonderful, but tiring day of fun.
To parents and other caregivers this structure means is that we can read/or be... Read more
