Chapter Books & Readers
Review:It would be better if Barbara Parks stays away from History and other factual areas. Better if the books are kept primarily to day to day activities and emotions/ feelings thereof. These are Barbara Parks' strengths. When looking for starter chapter books I mistakenly bought the whole collection for my daughter. The repeated use of spelling and grammar errors was too much for me but my daugther seems to like these books than the other much better ones I bought (magic tree house). Anyway when I r... Read more
Review:I agree with the other people writing these reviews. Junie B has grown up too fast and her attitude has changed. I wish that Park had written a summer story in between "Graduation Girl" and the first grader one. That way, it would give a bigger explanation why she has grown up a little bit. But Park made her spring up too fast for only being a first grader. I think it's cute how on the cover that her "B" is turned to the side to look like a pair of funny purple glasses. I'm 11 and have enjoyed t... Read more
Review:This book was interesting. At the beginning she talked all about her lunch box, and she bragged about it too. I liked this book because it was funny. The words were not to hard for me to read.
I think lots of first graders should read this book. Read more
Review:I bought this through my grandson's pre-school to add variety to my library at home. The story line may be a little difficult for young ones to understand Milly's obsession with certain words, but once read, they may catch on. I just wasn't impressed with the storyline (if you can find one). The book is just silly in my opinion. It reads like the Dr. Suess books of which were never a favorite of mine either, and I am unsure whether this one will be a choice for my grandson to want to read. ... Read more
Review:I purchased three books from this series. My 7 year old Granddaughter loves them, and I am relearning things that I have forgotten. She entertains both her Dad and myself with all the facts she's learning. I am going to purchase all of the rest of the series. Really great books. Read more
Review:We normally enjoy Geronimo Stilton books but OH MY! WHAT HAPPENED????? REALLY???? I tried, and tried to get into this one. Reading it out loud to my special needs teen age so whom we usually really enjoy reading about his adventures.... but this book had no storyline, to many descriptions and didn't go anywhere! Although they were on a boat trying to go somewhere... but I lost my son after the first few chapters but kept reading thinking it would get better but then when it lost me I just had t... Read more
Review:Sunshine State book. We are getting a head start for next school year and the third grade boy I am reading with is enjoying the plot and characters so far. The chapters are short do he is feeling accomplished as he moves along to chapter five early in the book. He has remained engaged, but occasionally becomes discouraged by the amount of text on each page. Read more

Review:My grand daughter is loving every minute of it. I'm not sure if it's because I am letting her use my Kindle to read it or if it's just the book. She giggles all the time she is reading it. She is 7. Read more
