Review:Out of all of Ray Bradbury's prodigious gifts, perhaps none is greater than his ability to capture the true essence of childhood in a timeless manner. While his most prolific period is now four decades past, Bradbury's descriptions of the hopes and fears of childhood still strike a powerful chord; in particular, he is able to capture the fears of childhood from an adult's perspective, without in any way minimizing them.
In "Something Wicked This Way Comes" the reader is treated the pinnacle ... Read more
Review:Wonder why the stories in this series contain "voodoo" characters and references--more than a bit distracting with very little return on the energy required to integrate the references into the story. Most of the characters are developed just enough to be interesting and or compelling. Read more
Review:I do not pretend to be some affluent reading Guru...I am just a middle aged chick that reads for entertainment. I thought this book was mildly interesting from the beginning~~~and somewhere along the way the plot became very engaging and I was hooked. I would certainly read another novel by Patricia Gussin. Review:An outstanding read from Maybe with two remarkable major characters in David Dixon and Laney. Mayne explores the space tech of the next decade in crafting a hybrid spy thriller/murder mystery in this sequel to Station Breaker. I eagerly anticipate the return of these characters! Read more
Review:I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and recommend it to anyone interested in engaging and suspenseful books. The mix of archeology, science, language, etc., was brilliant. Looking forward to reading the next in the series! Read more

Review:The plotting was wonderful as always with Ken Follet but there was too much unnecessary explicit sex to my taste. Also, I think the ending fell flat but still did not take away from the plot or characters. I love his building of characters. I would recommend this book especially if you like intrigue, romance, and world events in one volume. Ken Follet is one of the best historical fiction writers today. Always a good read. Read more
