Review:Good book for todays teen with everything. I would reccomend this for the spoiled child. This book gives today's youth a different perspective regarding life without the little conveniences and what it would take just to survive.
Hopefully, the books theme would enlighten the young person as to how lucky they are with family, clothing and a full stomach. Read more
Review:It would be better if Barbara Parks stays away from History and other factual areas. Better if the books are kept primarily to day to day activities and emotions/ feelings thereof. These are Barbara Parks' strengths. When looking for starter chapter books I mistakenly bought the whole collection for my daughter. The repeated use of spelling and grammar errors was too much for me but my daugther seems to like these books than the other much better ones I bought (magic tree house). Anyway when I r... Read more
Review:We have had several neighbors move away in recent years, and we always purchase this book for everyone to sign as a going away gift. It's a good reminder that we never truly forget people who touch our hearts, even if they are far away. Read more
Review:Boy + Bot is an adorable story about two friends who try to take care of each other when they think the other one is sick. My 3 year old son received it as a gift at his last birthday and really enjoys this book. We read it at least 2x a week. We always talk in a monotone when we voice the robot, so I get a charge when I ask him a question and he says "AFFIRMATIVE" (like our Bot voice). Easy to read, nice pictures. Best for ages 2-5. Review:A well written book less about the title subject, the chocolate wars, and more about the cruelty, petty and worse that goes on in high schools especially private schools where secret societies can thrive and flourish. Places where small men with smaller minds can taste and wield power they never should be allowed to. I was a bit annoyed where the story ends. We don't find out what happened to one of the main protagonists (he who started the chocolate war) and those involved in the terrible way h... Read more

Review:The book was a great representation of the struggle of all those who experience discrimination from the perspective of a child. It would be relatable for older elementary children in a class studying civil rights... Read more
Review:Purchased this book for a preschooler, with the intention of introducing social consciousness in an age-appropriate way. Characters are believable, illustrations are interesting, and the story is relatable. Makes me feel slightly less guilty about buying my too-young-to-understand-yet child the kind of brand name shoes that I never got as a child. Read more
Review:I like this book Unstoppable because The book is short and has a lot of cliffhangers a little bit of a summary of the book is a boy named harrison who plays football gets bone cancer and has to overcome a lot of challenges.
One reason for my opinion is on chapter 40 the ending has a cliffhanger In the book where the main character named Harrison and at the end of the chapter You wanted to talk to his dad whose nickname is coach “coach I want to talk with you”.Another reason for my opinion i... Read more
