Animals
Review:It is cute. But after the originality and length of the original, the shortness of the book and extremely short sentences within are a disappointment. If I could have located this in a store prior to ordering, I wouldn't have purchased. Read more
Review:Loved how lively the family was. I could envision each member of the family and friends. Laughed out loud at the antic of Gerry and his adventures. I will have to say that sometimes the descriptive language was a bit too long. Overall I loved it and would recommend it. Read more
Review:This book is excellent an I love it especially the ending. I didn't like Marcy nd her husband for abusing squirrel. My favorite part was when Susan told Ms. Oliver that Addie is her dog and is her to stay. Another part which I liked was when they live together and both wants each other in there lives. I recommend this book to everyone. Read more
Review:We own quite a few of the national geographic readers and we love them all. They are appropriately laid out for young readers, my daughter loves the riddles/jokes and she loves learning interesting facts about the animals and sharing them with the family. I am very pleased with this purchase and will continue to buy others in the series. Read more
Review:The reading of this poignant accounting.... the 'review' is ineffable, as the effects of this book touch the spirit. .. I was mowed, enlightened and finally outraged by this powerful account.... hallelujah Mr. Mowat for the voice you sounded. By far.... the BEST book I have ever read. Read more

Review:We weren't looking for anything too incredibly fancy, so the used option was great for us! We have a 3 year old who just loves Dr. Seuss books, and we know he is going to put some wear and tear on them himself. Why buy new? Same story, but with less heart ache if it gets scribbled on or torn. Thanks for the book! :) Read more

Review:Lady Constance, the 19-year-old mistress of Ashton Place, decides to temporarily relocate the entire family to London while the house is being repaired after being damaged during the Christmas ball (covered in Book 1: The Mysterious Howling). Although this is not what the children's 15-year-old governess, Miss Penelope Lumley, had in mind when she suggested she and her charges spend some time in the city in order to visit the headmistress of the Swanburne Academy for Poor Bright Females, she's h... Review:Sweet thoughtful and deep. I had know idea that this was more than a story about a sweet dog until I read it. It carries a message of acceptance and love for being unique in a family. And this message is imparted clearly but gently. It would be a lovely book for an adoptive family or a stepfamily. My 6 year old loves it for the humor and sweet drawings so it is also just a fun book. Read more
