An Owner's Manual for Dangerous Minds - You Are Here
An Owner's Manual for Dangerous Minds - You Are Here

Review:I absolutely adore Jenny Lawson and her work, and this book is no exception. It is so relaxing working my way through the pages, occasionally coloring bits here and there if I want to. Her words mean so much on each page. Definitely a buy you won't regret! Read more

The Master and Margarita
The Master and Margarita

Review:I read the Everyman's Library Glenny Translation.

This is a mixture of the bizarre and the familiar. The writing itself is a bit of both, the story subject is a bit of both and the characters are a bit of both. I thoroughly enjoyed the 'flashbacks' and almost wish the whole story was just those events, but I also enjoyed the chaotic and seemingly random way the modern part of the story developed, not that I even fully understood it all, mayhaps a second read is in order. It is not a di... Read more

The Master and Margarita (Everyman's Library Contemporary Classics Series)

Review:This is a brilliant novel, very funny, yet tragic, very moving, and very observant.
_The Master and Margarita_ is set in Moscow, apparently in the '20s or '30s. One day a couple of literati are talking when they meet a strange man. Before long the man is laughing at there confident assertion that the Jesus and the Devil don't exist, and telling a story about Pontius Pilate and his encounter with Jesus, or Yeshua, and also predicting the death of one of the two men. When the death occurs, t... Read more

Unseen Academicals
Unseen Academicals

Review:While it was a very enjoyable book, I think it was not one of the best Discworld novels. The characters were very well written and interesting, and I'd love to read about Mister Nutt's further adventures. If you like sports, football in particular, you'll find this book highly entertaining. Read more

Review:I am an educated individual and have pursued esoteric works for years. I do not know why this was published. If it makes sense to you, I suggest you stop taking LSD or check into the closest mental health facility for treatment. A total waste of paper and my money. Read more

Pillow Thoughts
Pillow Thoughts

Review:I got an ARC in return for an honest review on NetGalley.

I am going to admit something that should make me ashamed: I picked this book solely off the cover. I do it so often that my friends are just used to me picking up books as we walk by displays in the library and leaving before we even make it back to the stacks. How could I pass up on this cover? I love it and it looks exactly like something that would drag me in. Why would a jellyfish have pillow thoughts? I was immediately drawn ... Read more

Whiskey Words & a Shovel II
Whiskey Words & a Shovel II

Review:I love this book . Its shares true feelings that we go through from a day to day basis and it's fun to read because it's all quotes. I'm personally not a fan of reading books but this is perfect for me because I can relate to the quotes in the book and there is no long chapters which is a plus for me. I recommend this to someone who has been through ups and downs with relationships so I prove this book Read more

Black Book of Poems
Black Book of Poems

Review:Not only are these poems sweet and to the point but they've all got a deep Grimm undertone. The kind of undertone that makes you realize things about your own self. I felt a little more in touch with who I am after finishing this read and I also passed it on to others so that I could discuss it with others. I NEEDED to talk about this book. Just like you NEED to buy it. Read more

The Importance Of Being Earnest And Other Plays (Enriched Classic) (Turtleback School & Library Binding Edition)
The Importance Of Being Earnest And Other Plays (Enriched Classic) (Turtleback School & Library Binding Edition)

Review:This version of play was good and the actors captured the tone of the play well. The actors playing Lady Bracknell, Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew were very good. The male characters were portrayed at an acceptable level but not was good as the female characters. I would recommend this version. Read more
