Review:This book is horrible. Eloise is a spoiled rich kid who is petulant and obnoxious. She commonly denigrates the people around her as being "dumb," etc. Her mischief and temper tantrums are recounted without disapproval. The book is punctuated with frequent, unnecessary "for Lord's sake" comments that may offend many. There is nothing in this book that I want my children exposed to. I look forward to reading about Eloise as a teen, when she becomes the next Lindsay Lohan, due to growing up without... Read more
Review:The pictures are appropriately detailed and the information is engaging. I do wish it had some question and answer blanks and maybe some activities other than just coloring, but I did get what was advertised at a good price. Read more
Review:Out of all the scissor workbooks that I've purchased or seen, I like this one the best. There are clear lines for my 3 year old to follow and the colorful pictures are well-liked. I would buy this again as a wonderful intro to cutting and pasting. Read more
Review:Our school library had saved this newest addition to the series for one of our biggest fans as soon as it came in and was processed, and he finished it in one school day around his assignments! HIGH praise! It has a LONG list of students who want it next! With school budget cuts, we very seldom purchase more than one copy of library books, but we have of this series. Our eager young readers LOVE it! Read more
Review:Have to admit i was disappointed. I did not realize first off that these are 2 sided or I would not have ordered them. I should have looked at the reviews all the way through to see some examples. The cover art is nice and I had thought by that example that the inside would be fairly detailed. The art is really more for children and crayons then adults. The hard part of trying to color sketches like this is the huge open areas that need a lot of fill...way too much for gel pens or even penc... Read more
Review:Totally charming but not too goody-goody. A great choice for any kid with a naughty side (i.e., all of them). Beth Bacon creates a compelling conspiracy between the book and the reader. By "pretending" to read this book, the reader actually, um, reads the book! Great design too. Clever enough for the bookworms and fun enough for the kids who "don't really like reading." Perfect Christmas gift for the elementary school kids in your life. Highly recommended. Read more
Review:Excellent book to have on hand when you need your child to focus for 20-30 minutes. Highly reccomend this for long car ride or airplanes but it does require someone interact with it and the child. Some of items are harder to spy but that makes this great because you can enjoy for a couple weeks, put it away, take it back out a few months later and they will spy more things. I'd say a 2-4 year old would really enjoy this book. Read more
Review:Bought for my oldest granddaughter (age 10) who really enjoys these with her friends and family. Anything that inspires learning, improves language skills and keeps the kids laughing is A-OK in my book! Read more
