Review:While Mr. Whitman and associates may be experts in the HVAC field, they obviously are not effective textbook authors for a beginning HVAC course. The book is cumbersome, somewhat confusing, and very hard to follow. The end of chapter questions are more than difficult to answer based on the information given in the chapter. Little emphasis is put on "important" points and ideas. In some cases, throughout the book, a subject is mentioned with little or no detail follow-up, and in other instanc... Read more
Review:THis work, Volume II, is like the others. A wonderful history of how it was. In this day and age of having most needs meet and something for everyone on the Wal-mart shelf, we tend to forget just what it was like in our not too distant past. These books, the Foxfire books, brings to light skills, attitudes and a way of life that is all but forgotten. This is a good thing. When a people lose their history, they lose part of their soul. As the title of this work states, Ghost Stories, Wild Pl... Read more
Review:The Foxfire Project is momentious and if you notice you are missing one or three in the set, having loaned them, it's wise to replace these missing gems of mountain pioneering and lossed skills. Mighty fine reading next to the bed. Read more
Review:I love this book's drawings. There are no complain about the pictures quality here. I bought those to color it with copics, since these markers leak a lot, I thought post cards would work better than normal coloring books, and they do! The paint still bleeds and the paper absorbs tons of color but is fine.
My main frustration is how dirty the book came. I was expecting more from amazon. The cover is very dirty and worn out. I won't return it because the post cards inside are fine, but it is v... Read more
Review:This was the first book I read after getting married. I was referred another book but when I saw the title I thought this was so me. It was a good idea because the book was a quick read and very informative. I took notes the whole way thru. Read more
Review:Disappointed, Save your money. Book is very brief, and poorly written. This book does not include most of the information in the description. YouTube and Instagram are a better resource. The author mentions you should resin, but only discusses varnish which is not current market trend. Author uses the word “Step” in place of the word chapter to imply this book is tutorial based... its just not.
Rick Cheadle, you should really be ashamed of taking advantage of people selling this book. It’s th... Read more
Review:A great book for determining the value of old and modern coins. Includes all coin ratings and values by coin condition. Includes very detailed photos on each page. This is a very good reference for both the amature and the serious coin collector. A must have if you are new to coin collecting. Read more
Review:Impressive new version of a do it yourself manual. This was given to a couple buying their first house so I did not open it myself. Somehow playing with someone's gift before you give it to them seems tacky. I believe it offers a free version online too with this purchase. So if you don't want to lug around the book, I guess you can see the page form a smartphone?
I'd say it is worth it. For myself, when I buy a couple a book like this, I get older versions also of the reader's digest do it ... Read more
Review:What a delightful story - even for grownups, but especially for children. I loved it. I still grieve over giving a little dog up because of my age and inability to pick up after him until he grew up and was better trained. That was my mistake. I only needed to hold out a little longer. Tippy was a lot of fun and I will regret it forever. People, take this story to heart! Read more
Review:This was an amazing, thought provoking, fun book. Just shows how God can use the "dumbest" of animals to teach us humans life lessons. Thank you Flash for being who you are and being such a loveable character. My husband now wants a donkey! Read more
