Review:This book thought me a lot about practicing charity, that it love of God and neighbor in concrete way. The poor are a gift to us! It's so inspiring. It is only in self giving that we receive and experience true joy!!! We need this today more than ever! Read more
Review:With hundreds of study bibles available today, why do we need another one? And what good is a study Bible whose commentary is filtered through a single person or theme? I've long been leery about these types of study bibles. Whether it be the Joel Osteen bible or the American Patriot bible, the Reformation study bible or the Grandmother's bible, you can find a study bible centered around many religious celebrities and themes.
(Check out this blog for a whole list of crazy-themed bibles.)

Review:Few authors become more relevant as time passes. Lewis, who died in 1963, is more relevant now than ever before. This collection of 38 essays and letters is not only enjoyable to read over and over since Lewis is a master at prose and image, it is food for your mind and soul, helping us to see reality more clearly. His sharp intellect and readable style help show the results of various codes of ethics, the joy of reading old books, the ultimate meaning of Christ, the logic of miracles, the... Read more

He took a lot of liberty in "imagining" how these women felt in those particular historical times. Whereas I thought it was interesting, it wasn't all taken from scripture. Many of the women's lives were similar to each other and we began discussing things that seemed to be redundant. Definitely not enough "meat" for a Bible Study. The leader had... Read more
Review:This book challenges the believer to acknowledge their spiritual bankruptcy and rely solely on God's grace. The author does an excellent Job of helping the reader understand that true grace is not complacent , it is dependence on the Holy Spirit. This is a must read. Read more

Review:The best thing about The Invitation is the first chapter: The invitation itself. Nice poetry. However, if you are a serious spiritual seeker, you are aware of the plight civilation has created for us. This societal design is seriously flawed, and the true spiritual seeker will realize the answer lies in a return to respect and co-existence for all living things which requires a self-less attitude - a departure from the <I deserve a break today> mentality and a return to community.
