Review:Battles' second book is perfectly paced, full of action, and even better than his first. Jonathan Quinn is a character I'm going to want to see again and again and again.
This is the International Spy Thriller at its best! Read more
Review:Well I can honestly say Celia Aaron writes fantastic bad guys. The type you shouldn't love but can't help being drawn too, you feel like you need your head examined. HaHa!!
But it's totally fine to love the psychos in the book world.
I definitely do.

Review:Daphne Loveling is my complete hero right now and her latest release is why. Beast is a must read second chance romance that has an incredibly powerful storyline as well as characters you'll fall in love with. Hands down completely blown away by the thought and craft of this impeccable read. Have you ever read a book and unfortunately there are real life horrid situations that are based on fact but you wish with all of you weren't true? Ms. Loveling has broached an rough/heartbreaking subjec... Read more
Review:I downloaded The Beholder because I took a free peek on Amazon.com, and then couldn't put it down. Apparently, the book is the first of what will be a series starring Maddie Richards - a smart, tough, tenacious female police detective in Phoenix, Arizona. Maddie is a good cop, and her competence is confirmed by the fact that she has one of the highest solve rates in the US. The Beholder chronicles Maddie's pursuit, and unmasking, of a serial killer of women. I should make it clear here that this... Read more
Review:This was a really good book. It has some disturbing parts that may be too sensitive for some readers especially as it involved children. Robyn has some secrets of her own! You won't know until the end! Read more
Review:Just finished this book and enjoyed it far more than I originally thought I would. I finished it in less than 24 hours. Just wanted the author to know that someone all the way in Kansas has read her book and loves it! Read more
Review:The Labours of Hercules features Hercule Poirot deciding to solve a series of symbolic mysteries/puzzles referencing Hercules before he retires (again?). These puzzles take on myriad forms, from kidnapping to political scandal to theft to drugs to murder.
The writing in these stories is classic Agatha Christie, featuring stereotypical-yet-fun side characters and the twist you knew was coming but still surprises you and makes the mystery fun. Unfortunately, the stories due suffer a little ... Read more
Review:The Best Friend was a compelling and compulsive read. I found myself reading just one more chapter before bedtime. I loved the premise of the story as well as the pacing and execution of the plot. The tale was masterfully woven such that the characters of Louisa and Darcy really seemed real to me. Yes, you have to suspend some disbelief, but I found that the fun factor of this book was a ten. A great escape from reality for a few hours! I will definitely be reading more by this author. Highl... Read more
Review:The young student was a bit unusual. He was German, but chose to study in Iceland. He was a History major, but seemed to spend most of his time exploring the country’s Middle-Age witchcraft practice and practitioners. Oh yes, and whoever killed him removed his eyes …

Review:I read Scandinavian mysteries because they are less violent and more cerebral than most American mysteries. This book was exceedingly dark and had an unusual ending that left me pretty flat. I won't be reading any more by this author. Very depressing. Read more
