Easy Prey (The Prey Series Book 11)
Easy Prey (The Prey Series Book 11)

Review:I am completely addicted to Lucas Davenport and Virgil Flowers novels. There, I've said it. That's quite a confession from a 70-year-old man who prides himself in his literary taste. And they didn't have to beat it out of me. Read more

Buried Prey (The Prey Series Book 21)

Review:I love John Sandford's books with Lucas Davenport. This book was very interesting and kept me interested right up until the very end. Love that Davenport is protrayed as successful (rich), loves his clothes and works the BCA the way he wants, even if that means outside of the lines at times. Just enough of his family life mixed in with the death of his friend and his turmoil/emotions and what he may do about it. A great read! Read more

The Disappeared (A Joe Pickett Novel)
The Disappeared (A Joe Pickett Novel)

Review:A typical Picket story with the well known characters, but this time the writing doesn't flow as it used to. The characters and their thoughts and actions are not quite as believable as in earlier works. Enjoyable, but not his best book. Read more

Night and Day (Jesse Stone Novels Book 8)
Night and Day (Jesse Stone Novels Book 8)

Review:Always hats off to Parker's story telling power. This time trivial underwear checking affair by principal develops into rather big incident for the cop of small town. Every characters in this story seem to be struggling for real love. I haven't seen the word swingers for a long time. I thought the word was a parting gift of flower generation in seventies. I never imagined those people are still existing. I'm so glad to read Jesse finally shut down Jenn who pleas coming back to him. As Japanese ... Read more

Trouble in Paradise (Jesse Stone Novels Book 2)

Review:Excellent reading. I watched the movie first then started reading the book. To me that was good since I like Tom Selleck as an actor it gave me more of a visual read. Of course it doesn't always happen that way. Read more

Robert B. Parker's Killing the Blues (Jesse Stone Novels Book 10)

Review:Michael Brandman does a wonderful job of carrying on the prose and tradition of Robert Parker's style of writing. I loved that he incorporated some features of the Jesse Stone movies starring Tom Selleck. It was a satisfying and thoroughly enjoyable read! Read more

Harry Starke (The Harry Starke Novels Book 1)

Review:Really enjoyed this book, I have never read a book where the author includes the reader. He explains things that may have happened in earlier books in the series, that was helpful since this was the first book I have read. Lots of action, twisted ending, never saw coming. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review." Read more

noir thriller (Thomas Blume Book 1) - HARD FALL - A gripping
noir thriller (Thomas Blume Book 1) - HARD FALL - A gripping

Review:Enjoyable short read. Not really predictable, but somehow familiar. Definitely enjoyed the ending, and the book flowed. But it's missing something - some amorphous characteristic that would normally force me to immediately look for more books in this series. Can't say why, but I'm not that emotionally married to this story. Read more
