Review:I felt like I was reading the Godfather again. This book takes you back to the origins of Corleone family. This book has details on characters like Luca Braci, that the other books didn't get much into it. Read more
Review:Just like the first Sandhamm novel, I couldn't put this book down. I love the way Viveca Sten tells her stories- letting them unfold from many angles all the while keeping the reader guessing in a classic "who done it" murder mystery. Cannot wait for her next book to be translated into English. Read more
Review:I cannot say enough about Dugonis books. I have read all six of the Crosswhite series and beg for more. I had this last one pre-ordered and was so impatient for it to be released. Hoping there will be a number seven. Guess I’ll just have to read some of his other works. Great read Read more
Review:The characters in this book were not only unlikeable, but unbelievable; so unbelievable, in fact, that I was unable to suspend disbelief. I finished the book just to tally up the outlandish and ridiculous plot twists. I was not disappointed (as to outlandish and ridiculous). Many sections elicited laughter from me, so in that sense the book was entertaining. I doubt that was an intended reaction. The author’s medical knowledge, including abilities of newborns, was sorely lacking. A little resear... Read more
Review:This series does not disappoint. Fans of military fiction will enjoy the sentiment and camaraderie that infuse each story. The author has a great grasp of what makes the military function as the family that it so often is despite those who would twist it for personal gain.
The characters are well drawn and intriguing and the plot lines are entertaining. Try one you'll like it!!! Read more
Review:Reeve has a fragile grip on reality. Wedded to her routine, she is slowly acclimating to life after being abducted and held captive for four years. After six years of therapy with a psychologist who pioneered her treatment, she is gradually gaining confidence and a tentative sense of independence and control. But all that is threatened when her therapist asks her to speak to a young victim of a similar crime. After reluctantly agreeing she becomes drawn into an investigation of similar cases. Wi... Review:Liz Nugent’s debut novel, UNRAVELING OLIVER, was originally published in the UK and Ireland in 2014 but made a second splash on this side of the Atlantic in 2017, when it was named a BookExpo Buzz book, among other acclaims. Nugent’s new American fans are lucky; she was already a bestselling author in her native Dublin when UNRAVELING OLIVER released, and now Scout Press is able to publish her other books on an accelerated schedule. Up next is LYING IN WAIT, a multilayered novel about a dysfunct... Read more
Review:This is the 17th women’s murder club novel that I’ve read. That is to say I’ve read them all — they are JUST THAT GOOD!
The 17th Suspect has all of the suspense and drama you have come to expect from the series, while preserving the warm relationships between the “girls” and with the men in their lives.
The only bad thing about the Murder Club series is the length of time you have to wait for the next book. BRING ON THE 18th James and Maxine! Read more
Review:Another excellent novel by Mark Edwards. This one is not as twisty as previous stories, but the turns are still surprising and the character development very accomplished. After a spat of the worst luck imaginable, Ben Holland's life is starting to turn around. His estranged wife seems to realize what a big mistake she made by leaving him, his son's bullies stopped torturing him, he has exciting new work prospects and he may be on his way to being happy. Or is he being manipulated by a serial ki... Read more
