Review:This is another good mystery with some temptations facing Joe Pickett and his wife. His plunge into a different district for a short time gives the reader a view into a different part of Wyoming. And at the end, a satisfying surprise. Read more
Review:Extremely well written, fast paced, with some great characters, particularly the feisty, head-strong Poppy. Even if she did go a little troppo in the idyllic isle of Costa Rica.
A thoroughly compelling story, both the plot itself and the way it discusses the alarming trafficking of endangered species. Loved the totally unexpected ending.
Dalton, the ex-SEAL definitely of interest!
Will definitely be reading more of Poppy McVie's adventures. Rather have to now, after reading ... Read more
Review:Gone is book two in the Deadly Secrets series, but I fully believe it can be read as a standalone book. Alec is a very realistic, flawed character. His current & previous relationship with Raegan felt very genuine to me; nothing was forced or unbelievable. Raegan is a very strong person herself and I love her independence. As people know, something things are just meant to be together and Alec & Raegan are meant to be together. They have issues to deal with and resolve, but they are much... Read more
Review:Another great Eve Duncan book. A skull is left for Eva to do what she does best as a forensic sculpture. Turns out the skull is the sister of Cara, Eve' s adopted daughter, roommate. I love how the writer brings characters in from other books and makes them richer. Very well written Read more
Review:MS JOHANSEN HAS SURPASED HERSELF! Love the book/story! I LOVE Eve and all her loving family! Stayed up till 3:00 to finish the book, couldn't' put it down till I finished the story. I highly recommend this story/book. Where is Eve going next???? Read more
Review:Excellent series. Although it doesn’t compare to the first book, it’s a close second (the second book in the series was just meh to me).
My only complaint was that the author chose to throw in the use of Spanish phrases periodically. She hadn’t done this in past books. That’s all good if you’re bilingual, but kinda annoying if you can’t speak Spanish. Read more
Review:I had not read this author before when I received an advance copy. A great read, good characters, twisty plot, keeps you guessing throughout. I enjoyed the read and am now looking for more from Andrew Barrett. Recommended. Read more
Review:A good series, with many twists and turns. Shannon Meyer is a fantastic author with a great imagination. I just wish Abe would stay in the picture. So much protection, maybe that can continue somehow. Read more
Review:It was like reading in a circle. The same things kept happening, just with different people...fight, hunt, be betrayed, fight, hunt, be betrayed. Trust someone a little, only to find out they were working for the bad guys. The book ended where it started...her father getting away with her son AGAIN. I mean HOW many times can you fight and have the same ending? Seriously, it was ridiculous. Her father kept getting the kid back...EVERY single time, no matter how many times he escaped. I'm f... Review:Although I figured out who the bad guy was pretty early in the book, it was still a good read. I have not read any of the other books in the series, so my opinion may be even better once I do read the rest of the books in the series. Read more
