Review:I have read the four books leading up to "Personal Justice" and truly ennoyed each one and looked forward to the next one. The plot of this book was good until the resolution. I found myself saying "are you serious!" and, frankly I lost all respect for Kadella and don't care if I ever read another book about him. Read more
Review:You have got to love Tubby! Funny and loveable. He helps a woman he hardly knows find her son for two pralines as a retainer. His idea of justice doesn't always fit the letter of the law, but I'm on his side! Read more
Review:Reading the reviews so far, I guess it all depends on the readers expectations. I, too, have read all of the Joe Pickett series, & this one is very good. C.J. Box writes an entertaining, well-developed story. From the setting, to the characters, to the plot line, everything is well conceived & interesting. I suppose some may believe that Joe's story is somewhat trite because Joe and/or his family is frequently threatened. However, this book is called "Vicious Circle". It's to be expected... Read more
Review:From the very beginning, I could feel the sadness setting in and couldn't put the book down until the conclusion. It was well-written and kept me wanting to find some kind of hope in this tragic tale. And, as in some cases, there comes a bit of solace. I did enjoy this book even while shedding a few tears. Review:Stopped reading halfway through. The narrator was so corny and the entire scene with the geek in the library was hokey! Why the hell would you ask a complete stranger for murder sites in a library? Why is she so dumbstruck with computers in this day-in-age? It's not believable. Don't waste your money. Read more
Review:This novel is the real thing. I've recommended it to many formerly incarcerated women who I work with and they all agree. It's important and brilliant, a page-turner. Too bad it's not out in paperback yet, so I can't send it to prisoners. Read more

Review:Like all the best crime novels, this lengthy Japanese import offers more social commentary than straightforward intrigue. In many ways it's a feminist book, taking as its subject four Tokyo women working a tough night shift factory job packing bento boxes. Each is living a miserable existence in one way or another, and there's little prospect of hope for any of them. Kuniko is a shallow woman in her mid-20s who has gotten deeply into consumer debt due to her belief that the right car or the righ... Read more
Review:I've bee eagerly anticipating this conclusion after the ending to book one and it did not disappoint. on that end. It came soon after Even Money so it's still fresh. It's no doubt still full of suspense and intrigue and keeps you guessing and reading! I was on the edge of my seat still and riveted through it all. What will happen and who will come out the winner?
After how things ended now more questions abound and more secrets to be uncovered. With things happening it's a continuous race... Read more
