Even Money (All In Duet Book 1)
Even Money (All In Duet Book 1)

Review:Usually, I love Alessandra Torre but for some reason, Even Money just fell flat for me. It's well written, the characters well-developed but for me personally, I just struggled to get immersed or invested in the story. The pacing felt stilted to me. And the storyline is just one that I don't normally like. I don't mind the other woman, other man aspects of it. It was the hero being married that turned me off the most I think. I'm just not a fan of cheating spouses.

A Dylan Hunter Justice Thriller (Dylan Hunter Thrillers Book 2)
A Dylan Hunter Justice Thriller (Dylan Hunter Thrillers Book 2)

Review:BAD DEEDS is an excellent second book in the Dylan Hunter series. In his first book, HUNTER, Bidinotto exposed the flaws in our criminal justice system. In this followup, he takes on radical environmentalism, all within a heart-pounding, page-turning thriller. Can't wait to see what's on tap for book #3. Read more

Dull Knife: A Joe Pickett Short Story
Dull Knife: A Joe Pickett Short Story

Review:I am still wondering if the downloading was cut short. This is not a short story its not even a chapter.
I was not expecting a continuation of the usual Joe Pickett novels, I was expecting a story, not what seems to be a discarded few pages from a book. Amazon should have made this clear, not worth the money, but what there is is well written. Read more

Murder in Mind (Sloane Monroe Book 2)

Review:Like reading novels by this author, she handles each story line in the appropriate manner, not too much fillers which kind of suprised me, since I feel most female authors throw in too much fillers. I will purchase more novels from her. Read more

The Optician’s Wife
The Optician’s Wife

Review:I found “The Optician’s Wife” to be very suspenseful and engaging. Many times during this read I found my pulse quickening and my breath catching. The story was what every psychological thriller aims to be, horrifying.

The narrative opens with Deborah, a mousy seventeen year old cashier. One day during Deborah’s very lonely lunch hour she meets Larry, the charismatic Optician-in-training who is absolutely smitten with her. After a short courting, Deborah (now known as Dee) becomes Lar... Read more

The Cat Who Knew a Cardinal (Cat Who... Book 12)
The Cat Who Knew a Cardinal (Cat Who... Book 12)

Review:The 12th book of this series starts with Qwilleran settled into his new home, an old apple barn that has been restored and turned into living quarters. The upper beams are about forty feet above the ground and the cats are in seventh heaven. Qwilleran's other project, building a community theater, has also been completed and a successful run of "Henry VIII" has just finished. When the director, school principal Hilary VanBrook had proposed this play nobody thought it would fly, but the unpopular... Read more
