Review:Jaymin Eve / Leia Stone don’t pull any stops with the 2nd book in the NYC Mecca series! Some characters you will love and there are some you love to hate!
Arianna has a little problem….She’s a wolf attracted to a Bear and a King as well! And the stakes are high! Especially if it’s forbidden to have a relationship with one person she wants to have one with!
And with not one but two enemies and a mecca that is unstable. It’s not going to be easy to keep everyone she loves safe not only f... Read more
Review:How can I describe the writing in this book? Clunky.
One of those books where the heroine just has every conceivable kind of magic power and she gets all of them in a very short space of time to save the day every time. After a few times you just know that in every dangerous situation some new power will emerge so she is saved.
Could not like these characters as the writing just made everything feel awkward. Weak plot and one dimensional characters. Just can't recommend this book ... Read more
Review:Nice story. A great addition to the shade of vampire series. Just like the previous editions of a shade of vampire I couldn't stop reading once I started with the book. I can 't wait untill the next one is finished and ready to read. I like to learn more about Kiev and Mona, it is so addictive. Read more
Review:There were two reason why I choose this book. First I like period pieces and this book is set back the mid 1800. Second, I enjoy opening my mind to other ways of viewing things, and Jackaby definitely sees things differently. It was a fast read and kept me engaged. I would recommended it to people who enjoy reading fantasies and mysteries. Read more
Review:This installment of the House Of Night dragged and dragged. In the last 98% of the novel the pace was very good. Although committed as I am to complete the series I hope the next book isn't a sentence to sleep Read more
Review:I really enjoy reading series. I like following characters from one book to the next and so I own quite a few sets of books by different authors. This was one book that I was looking forward to reading and I was just not impressed. When I really enjoy a book, I find that there are parts that I want to go back and reread, and this book just didn't have any of those. Not to mention that there was no just cause to mention another authors fashion sense in the book. It was ridiculously rude to bring ... Read more
Review:To say Vlad Tod is different would be an understatement. For one thing he's half human, half vampire. And for another Vlad doesn't face the same kind of problems his fellow eighth grade peers face.
Sure he can barely form words when he's in close proximity to girl-of-his-dreams Meredith. Sure he gets picked on, shoved around, and bullied ... relentlessly. Sure he doesn't quite fit in, but let's be honest, what eight grader does?
No, those superficial "human" problems pale in compar... Read more
Review:Sunshine is a freshly original novel in the vampire genre. The hero, Sunshine, is a gifted baker with a knack for making cinnamon rolls so superb that strong men weep and beautiful women break their high heels to get at them. She lives in a world where vampires and other supernatural entities mix with the human population. The aftermath of the Voodoo wars has left suspicion of those with mixed human and "Other" blood. In particular there is great enmity between humans and vampires. Also, on... Read more
