Review:These are great books for young readers. These books are level M books, which is the level kids read at by the end of 2nd grade. The age range on the book says 5-8. I could see this book being used 2 ways. An adult could read it to younger kids or an early reader can read a chapter a night.
I'm currently using this for my daughter who is level K. With my support, she can easily read this book. What makes this book great is the short chapters and pictures on each page.

Review:I admit, I picked the killer when introduced but I found this to be a fun story. Several reviews say it isn't one of her best but I really liked it. Goes to show you that everyone's tastes are different! Read more

Review:My daughter brought the first book home and we thoroughly enjoyed it together. I was so pleased to discover the second Princess Academy story. It was enchanting to continue Miri and her fellow Princess Academy graduates' stories. We'll done Shannon Hale. Read more
Review:This is an excellent beginning for the series. It introduces Frank and Joe, all their friends, and their parents, all of who will be continually seen in the books to follow. It also shows how the brothers get started on crime-fighting and how they know so much about solving cases. Not a lot of danger, but still a good read. There's a lot more about them in school in this book than later ones. Read more
Review:I don't normally write reviews but this felt like a special case. Before you read this book, be warned, there are periods of extremely long and boring sections. The overall book is fairly decent, but with all the long and boring explanations one might just give up on it. Now I finished the book because I believe in second chances. What I am trying to say is that there will be points where you will want to fall asleep, but trust me, the ending makes up for it. Read more
Review:My grandkids love this book! They love pointing out why David is bad and especially love that in the end he shows that even a bad boy can be good. The pictures are fantastic, David's expressions are so clear that even my youngest granddaughter can say, "he's embarrassed!" We love David and I'm sure you will too! Read more
