This was an interesting read for me. I was drawn into the story, even though I didn’t think I would like it as much. The twists added to the story made it more enjoyable for me, and kept my interest, even though there were times when the story dragged on.

I liked Lana, though there were times I wanted to smack her and tell her not to be so stupid. I applauded what she did in the end, which helped red... Read more

Review:I started reading this book last night and could NOT put it down! Skye Warren kept my attention as she described the intricate characters she created throughout the book. Review:This was a great read - it drew me in from the beginning. The story-line was well written, great balance and twists and the characters were realistic and very likable. There was just something about Olivia and Vincent - loved them together. You won't want to miss this read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Read more

Bonfire: A Novel
Bonfire: A Novel

Review:There are any number of actors/celebrities who have their names on novels as "author" whose output ranges from putting their names on works mostly written by others (Gypsy Rose Lee e.g.) to "pretty good for an actor" writing (Gene Hackman);

But the ranks of those whose writing is of a level that they could BE successful writers even if they weren't known elsewhere is, let's face it, sparsely filled: Steve Martin, Jason Segel, certainly, and the best by far, Sterling Hayden (Note: Sam Shep... Read more

Review:This was a highly sexual book. I really enjoyed how Violet and Adam met and the automatic connection they had with each other. If you like a lot of sexist a great storyline then this book is for you. And of course you can't have the good without the bad. Violet and Adam had their fair share of bad times. So this is not a totally happy book.

Review:I'm really glad that I read a couple reviews before I got this book or I would've been really disappointed in the length of it. With that said, it was ehhhh... okay. Based on erotica and the details of such, it was pretty good (but not FSOG good). The romance factor of the short story was a little tacky to me. I've never personally experienced love at first sight, maybe others have, I'm not sure. I think it would've been smarter for Day to incorporate how he is in love with her lust, because cle... Review:No surprise, Toni Morrison has another hit on her hands. I was so anxious to get it and read it in one sitting! It is a definite page turner weaved with many life lessons in between. What I walked away with after reading were the spirit filled teachings of letting go of the past and people's perceptions of you. In a short amount of pages, Ms. Morrison presents these really great characters and all their issues with a terrific resolve that leaves you wanting more. Read more

#1 (The Academy Scarab Beetle Series) - The Scarab Beetle Series

Review:This series will be a bit more for adults with some sexual situations. However, all in good taste and not over the top. Like the Academy Series a book good to the last page. Again I loved the Academy guys. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in both book series. There were a few errors in the book, however, unless you are a stickler for absolutely perfect books, you will still enjoy this book. Hard to put down... Read more
