River's End
River's End

Review:The story moves right along keeping your attention. There is a good mix of romance and back story. Pretty typical Nora Roberts. Not one of her best but far from her worst! Recommended audience would would be women looking for a romance with more depth and story line than the typical Harlequin Romance. Read more

A Lie That's True (The Dragonlords of Xandakar Book 1)
A Lie That's True (The Dragonlords of Xandakar Book 1)

Review:Have you ever thought you should be somewhere else? When the question was posed to Miranda, she knew she'd like to be just about anywhere other than working at the rundown diner, living in the rundown trailer, in the rundown town. Little did she know she was going to get an answer to that question.

Corbin had better things to do, looking for his father the king who'd been missing for a year, then bind with the daughter of the king of an enemy dragon clan. But it was his duty, he just d... Read more

Review:Really loved this story. Autumn and Emmett were meant to be together, but a newcomer joins thier pack and wisks Autumn away. Years later, Emmett is back from war. Will he and Autumn have a second chance at what could have been? I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Read more

A Geek and Stud Romance (Love in New Highland Book 1)
A Geek and Stud Romance (Love in New Highland Book 1)

Review:I was enjoying this book right up until the party at the end, and then WTAF?! Nothing -- NO THING -- about that party scene is remotely realistic or even normal, even in the world of adult romance novels where nearly anything goes. It's left me feeling disappointed and kind of disgusted. What a shame. This was the first and last book I'll read by this author. Read more

Cara's Twelve
Cara's Twelve

Review:I read Cara's Twelve on Kindle Unlimited. Although I am not much of a fantasy reader, I'm glad that I gave Cara's Twelve a chance. The story intrigued me and pulled me right in and held me as a willing hostage through the very end. The storyline and the characters were masterfully developed and clearly written. I felt as if I was in the middle of the story. It has a nice mixture of adventure and romance. It is definitely worth the read. Read more

Elements of Chemistry (Hypothesis Series Book 1)
Elements of Chemistry (Hypothesis Series Book 1)

Review:1. I love how Penny Reid writes. Her characters and dialogue never disappoint.
2. I was hooked from scene one - very clever and entertaining.
3. I should have waited for all the books in the series to have been released before reading. I knew this!!
4. My weakness for Penny has left me annoyed with an incomplete story.
5. I'm going to re-review after I've finished all three books. I can't give higher rating now based on 1/3 of a story.
6. Penny's books are at the top of my list in... Read more

Friends Without Benefits (Knitting in the City Book 2)
Friends Without Benefits (Knitting in the City Book 2)

Review:I smiled like a giddy Cheshire cat, laughed aloud and chuckled in my scarf over this book. At work, I glanced at the Kindle app on my mobile when no one was looking – well, maybe they were looking, but I was just ‘checking my messages’, all right!?!

I luuuurve books about people who have a shared past, and who run into each other after having been out of contact with each other for several years. Especially if one of them is an über-hot Italian with gorgeous green eyes and a body to die f... Read more

An Origin Story (Knitting in the City) - Ninja At First Sight
An Origin Story (Knitting in the City) - Ninja At First Sight

Review:I have really enjoyed the Knitting in the City series by Penny Reid with her strong characters and clever plots. I find myself laughing and even crying at times during each of these stories. Ninja at First Sight is a wonderful introduction to Fiona and Greg's story. I pre-ordered Happily Ever Ninja and waited impatiently for its release. Read more

Beard Science (Winston Brothers Book 3)
Beard Science (Winston Brothers Book 3)

Review:I loved Duane and Jessica. I adored Jethro and Sienna. I think I'm in love with Cletus and Jennifer.

Their intelligence, oddities, then Jenn's thoughtfulness and kindness, and Cletus's tendency toward lists and revenge... just perfect.

I appreciated that they developed a friendship (through blackmail) and then that their attraction snuck up on each of them without either giving consent. My favorite Winston Brothers story thus far! Read more
