Fast Women: A Novel
Fast Women: A Novel

Review:Fast Women is my second book by Jennifer Crusie. I read Crazy for You and thought it was amusing. However, this second one started off well and seemed to trickle off. It wasn't just that the plot was a bit far-fetched or that there were some strange dynamics between some of the characters. Crusie handles that fairly well and there was a nice pace to the book. The extended cast of characters became hard to keep track of at times and I found it difficult to get my hooks into some of the players; M... Read more

Faking It (Dempsey Book 2)
Faking It (Dempsey Book 2)

Review:The real thing! Rarely am I ever surprised about a writer. You can tell dead on if they have a gift or not. Jennifer Crusie has it in spades. Fabulous continuity and character development. Where does she get this stuff from? Tilda, a wannabe "legitimate mural artist" finds herself unerringly drawn back into the larcenous past she has tried to bury-but it keeps sprouting up! Trying to keep her wacko family in check, and the family gallery solvent, Tilda scrambles to eliminate any evidence of her ... Read more

Agnes and the Hitman

Review:Engaging story - witty characters, exciting action, well thought out storyline. One of Crusie's best & I wished she did more stories with Bob Mayer because all of their collaborations were really well done. Read more

Crazy for You: A Novel
Crazy for You: A Novel

Review:If you are sick and tired of reading about foreign royalty, designer clothes, jaunts to Monte Carlo, and meaningless sex laden with tired metaphors, here is your antidote. Jenny Crusie writes about real people, characters I could recognize right from the people in my home town, and yet their story is told with such humor and sensitivity, such great understanding of the dark and the light, that I was riveted. This is an incredibly fun read, yet as right and true as any piece of literature. I... Read more

Review:The story lines are so wonderfully woven and real that once you start with jennifer crusie you can't stop. I'm working my way through all her books. JC if you are reading this. Please please where is your next book? I've now read all the online ones. I'm so desperate I'm even contemplating buying hardback versions that haven't been converted. Read more

It Had to Be You (Chicago Stars Book 1)
It Had to Be You (Chicago Stars Book 1)

Review:I literally cannot put down any books written by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Her characters have heart and personality, the dialogue is always witty and well written. I've read this book before and I still pick it up again and again to re-read. I think Breathing Room is her best book, but Had to be You is a chart-topper, too! You won't be sorry if you buy this book. Read more

Run To You (Military Men)
Run To You (Military Men)

Review:This story is silly, insipid, poorly plotted and has weak/two-dimensional leads. There is also a rushed and unpolished feel to it, like it was given to the publisher before the author had finished. It does not reflect the kind of smart, funny & clever romantic storytelling that I've come to expect from Gibson.

Another thing that turned me off is that the story seems pointlessly pornographic in places - as if the author thought if she added enough graphic raunchiness her readers woul... Read more

Just Say Yes (Escape to New Zealand Book 10)
Just Say Yes (Escape to New Zealand Book 10)

Review:The idea of agreeing to date your landlord after he just evicted you and your 3-year old son wasn't working for me. However being a long time fan of Rosalind's writing, I stuck it out. So glad I did!

Kevin and Chloe's courtship became a true page turner. As always Rosalind writes realistically about life and relationships with a touch of humor and steamy passion. A couple of instances touched so close to home, reminding me of my hubby's courtship of myself - minus the eviction notice. Read more

Year of Living Blonde (Sweet Life in Seattle - Book 1)

Review:First Book, but not last by Andrea Simonne. Loved this book, stayed up until 2:00 am this morning to finish this book. I loved everything about this story. Natalie's story was told in a manner that you understood her and why she handled things in her life they way she did. I would love to see Anthony's POV, to fill in his story. Hated to see their story end, hopefully we will get to see them in the next book, which I cannot wait to read. Read more
