Review:"Be patient with all that is unsolved in your life and learn to love the questions themselves." (From Letters to a Young Poet). Rainer M.
Rilke challenges us to accept the challenges of each day gracefully and with expectation. His thoughts continue to uplift me. Read more
Review:Book arrived early and in great condition.
I was recommended this book by a comic artist, despite his high regard of the book I was still surprised at it's quality. It is a wonderful reference that even includes exercises to help drive home the concepts in each chapter. Most useful to comic artists, regardless of format, but also a good reference for sequential art in general. Read more
Review:Was hoping for a lovely coffee table book with large images of book covers.
Instead it is a poorly written book about books. As an artist, I was looking to this book for inspiration, however the best images are shrunken down to 1 or 2 inches tall, and the few large images are of perhaps the worst covers they had access to. wanna read a book about books? Maybe this will do. Hoping to enjoy the actual artwork of the books this book is about? Keep searching elsewhere, this is not your final stop... Read more
Review:I really enjoyed this book. It was nice having an overview of the previous books just to refresh the memory ;) and the map was really neat to have. Also, the food receipies were neat to have as well. I loved this book. Thanks~!~ Read more
Review:The binding was a little messed up. It was coming apart a little bit on the inside and the outer top corner was smashed in. But, hey the book itself is a great read and I recommend you buy it if you like horror graphic novels. Just don't get it from this seller. Read more
Review:I found this book to be incredibly boring. Full disclosure--I didn't even get to the "good stuff" because I couldn't get past chapter 20. I know sometimes you have to wait a little bit for things to pick up, but if you've read half the book and still nothing is really happening, then I'm not sure it's worth it to push through. I know this is a well-respected book, and I can appreciate what it is doing in terms of commentary and style, it just wasn't for me. Read more
Review:This book was an awesome journey. It made me think and it made me laugh. Reading this book was like hearing me and my friends talk when we're around each other. It flowed. There was never a point where I wanted to stop reading. Luvvie's side-eye is refreshing and necessary. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs to think and laugh at the same time. Well done. Read more
Review:Overall the reading is interesting but I was looking for more illustrations to use in scrapbooking. There is plenty of information in the book to start your imagination and create scrapbook pages. I feel it was a good buy. Read more
Review:This book has all the wonderful illustrations and backstories you would expect/already love from the Monster Girl Encyclopedia artist. The book itself is very well constructed, with amazing details and a nice weight. Makes a great addition to my Monster Girl library. Read more
Review:The physical copy that I received is horrible. The book was cut improperly- on a slant. The ends of many sentences on many pages have simply been (literally) cut out. Check out the pics and see for yourself. Hey, at $5 ain't gonna take the time to return this unreadable copy; but, please avoid the mistake that I made and purchase elsewhere. Read more
