Review:I enjoyed the writing style, and the story was well-paced and plotted, the characters believable and compelling. I probably would've given this book a much higher rating if I hadn't found the first part a thoroughly miserable experience. If you're considering picking it up, you should go into it knowing that the first third to half of the book contains multiple graphic depictions of rape and attempted rape, abduction, violent misogyny, and a constant, unrelenting atmosphere of tension that grows... Review:Joe, Skippy, and the Band of Merry Pirates have screwed the aliens to save Earth. Their adventures have taken them from high fives to oh crap and back again. The domino effect just keeps on falling. Who moved planets? Who exterminated an entire race? What is the truth behind Skippy the Awesome? We must have more!!!! Craig has done this series proud. Need to see it to the end. Read more
Review:Publisher Weekly once said about this book that it's "Salvatore at his best" No way. "Streams of Silver" is his best. This book...I don't know, there was something missing. We had everyone you know? Regis, Drizzt, Bruneor, Catti-brie, Artemis, Jarlaxle, Wulfgar, etc. So why is it so mediocre? Well, for starters, it was too slow. That chapter with Wulfgar and Drizzt fighting giants? 31 pages. Also, Drizzt is not questionable and not finding more about him. Also, the Artemis in Calimport was a pai... Read more
Review:First let me say that I am a HUGE fan of the Legend of Drizzt series. I have all of the novels and one of the graphic novels which included The Dark Mirror. It was interesting to see the differences between the graphic novel and Salvatore's penned work.
I'll be honest, there was not a story in this collection I did not like. As mentioned above, the contrast between what I had seen in the graphic novel version of The Dark Mirror and Bob's writing was interesting, but in my humble opinion, ... Read more
Review:A read the entire Drizzit saga, and it`s been a while since Salvatore lost the ability to amaze. But he is still a very goor writer and this one is a definitely up in the ups and downs of his more recent novels. Read more

Review:******************SPOILER ALERT******************
Since the first reviewer already let it slip that 3 characters die, I have no problem bringing it up. The only reason I didn't truly enjoy this book is the manor in which 2 of the characters died. It was pointless and neither contributed to the story. It was a complete waste. I'm not gonna go in depth cuz I don't want to give away who it is. (the 2 in question don't kick the bucket til the very end so any hints will give it away) I f... Read more
Review:If you've read Salvatore's other Drizzt books, you know what to expect. This continues his saga and sets the stage for some very exciting future events. Without mentioning major spoilers, I can say that this novel features a few things that I've been waiting for. We see character growth for Gromph, Wulfgar and Regis leave the picture, and we finally see how Drizzt handles a debilitating injury.
This lost a star for two reasons. First, it spent too much time with characters we don't care a... Read more
Review:So for anyone stupid enough to have thought Drizzt actually died at the end of the last book, big surprise he didn't. Not only that but all the other Companions of the Hall have been reincarnated, show up 21 years later looking pretty much the same and with most of their equipment (or better), in order to look out for Drizzt during the latest Forgotten Realms Cataclysm (i.e. Edition of D&D). I guess that is Drizzt's reward for a century of moaning and mourning.
Look, I know not to e... Read more
Review:We should all strive to live as honorably as Salvatore's greatest hero. Drizzt's essays are profoundly moving and thought provoking. If I were to judge R.A. Salvatore by the philosophies and teachings in his Drizzt series, I could only conclude that he is a great man indeed.
In all the years my husband has praised these fantasy novels, I never imagined that they would invoke so much awe and respect. At long last I have succumbed to my husband's pleas and after reading this trilogy I finally u... Read more
