Review:Cannot imagine a better way to kick off the summer reading season! Mysteries, ciphers, suspense, and heart-pounding adventure supported by friendship, heart, and a genuine passion for books. Every reader, young and not-so-young, will enjoy getting to know Emily and James, and the many facets of their escapades. The author's ability to translate her cipher and code expertise into something a novice scavenger can understand (and devour) is a gift. She will undoubtedly get young readers to put down... Review:The Thing about Jellyfish, is a novel by Ali Benjamin. This book shows a relationship between two friends that always stick together, but while this book goes on they go on separate paths. A quote that goes through this book is: “Sometimes things just happen,” but Suzy doesn’t want to look at it this way, especially after the tragic that happened. This book will target someone who likes mysteries and The Thing about Jellyfish is a book with a mystery that you would really want to know more about... Read more
Review:HP Lovecraft is a great writer in so many ways, and his Call of Cthulhu is a classic; however, At The Mountains of Madness doesn't make the grade. The basic problems is his descriptions of the snow covered desolation faced by the Antarctic explorers are endless. Time and again his story wanders off into telling the reader how abandoned the area feels, how lonely, and how fearful. How many times do I have to read how high a mountain range is, or how high the passes are within the mountain rang... Read more

Review:I have been reading Howard P. for years, but lost all the the books during various moves and housing disasters.
This collection has solved that problem, everything the man published (including some I have never seen before) in a single easily navigated electronic document. With audio versions as an added bonus.
I highly recommend this for the die hard HPL fan, it isn't the same as having that dusty old copy of The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward in your hands, but it is a damn... Read more

Review:Being a long-time Lovecraft fanatic, I am pleased to see that Penquin chose to publish a two volume collection of his works.
Lovecraft's writing is not for those who ingest King, Grisham, Patterson, Dan Brown or other formulaic storytellers. These stories are for those who don't shy away from a good gothic thriller, Dostoevsky, Bram Stoker, Poe or other writers who had lived in a different era from our own. If you need to read 'modern writing', Lovecraft is not for you.

Review:There are many anthologies of "Best Loved" poems. I was hoping to find the Kindle version of the book that my English teacher gave me in high school around 30 years ago but this wasn't it. This anthology seems to have selected one poem per author as "best loved" and I can't say that I agree with the editor's picks, though it does have many famous poems in it. I have been selecting poems at random and have not read the entire book, so it's possible that parts of the book may be different than ... Read more
Review:I thought this was a story, but it’s just poems. It’s more of a single persons view on her personal experiences with men. Missing punctuation. Some good poems. Some poems were a page & others were literally one sentence. I don’t think it was worth the price. Not a horrible book, just ok. Read more
Review:I cried when I saw her video on Facebook telling her mom about her depression. She gave voice to the insanity in my mind that I have trouble describing to non suffers. Amazing book, amazingly brave woman! Thank you!! Read more
