Review:I don't cry at books. It's just not something that I do. But this is the second time that S.L. Scott has brought tears to my eyes through one of her beautifully written stories.
Sara Jane is beautiful and smart, fierce and fiery, and strong enough to stand up to Alexander's deplorable excuse of a father. She knows what she wants and goes after it, never backing down from Alexander even when he tries to push her away.
Alexander is a knight in a bad boy disguise. Though, it could be ... Read more
Review:DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!!! I am so very disappointed in this book. It had very little to do with Cory. I feel like I was tricked into buying the book because the last one ended with Cory being alive. I thought it would be his story. Don't waste your money on this one if you are looking for answers. Although I have always been a huge fan of the Flowers books, this has now soured my opinion of VC Andrews books. Obviously whoever the ghost writer is, they are only in it to make money and do not care ... Read more
Review:I'd give this no stars if possible. No plot. One-dimensional characters. Corny dialogue. No new secrets revealed. It's obvious this book is doing nothing more than capitalizing on the VCANDREWS name, on FITA, and on the Lifetime movies. In sum: don't bother. Just re-read the original FITA if you want the revisit the book you loved as a teen. Read more
Review:My Sweet Audrina is just as demented as I remember it being. Now in a VC Andrews book, that's not a bad thing. There are varying degrees of Andrews dementedness, and this book is pretty low on the scale, all things considered, especially since there's none of the incest Andrews is so famous for. It's kind of the literary version of a soap opera. Poor Audrina is so screwed up in the head. She doesn't know what day it is, how old she is, or why her parents will never love her as much as they did h... Read more
Review:This is probably my second favorite book in the series, behind Petals on the Wind. This shows Cathy and Chris in their later years, as well as showing how Cathy's sons have grown up. It is full of interesting twists, and it a must read for the Dollanganger series. Read more
Review:THIS book was written.
Dear lord I can't believe I wasted the time to read it again.
There were so, SO many things wrong with this book that it made it quite laughable to read.
Bart. What a psychotic little child he was! From the beginning you can tell that he had emotional issues. I completely understand children playing pretend (or at least they used to before the age of electronics took over) but he took it to a whole new level. His obsession with death and dying was a b... Review:I had read this series back in the 90"s and I had to read this again when it was such a good price. Now I want to order the whole series again. But being a poor person I will not be able to order them.
If you have not read this before the story only gets better, VC Andrew told her story well. Read more
Review:.....Is there an echo in here?
It certainly felt that way with nearly every chapter pretty much mirroring the one before...
Out of respect for Flowers in the Attic, I completed reading this book but under other circumstances I would've tossed it way before mid-point.
I tried hard to understand the Cathy character and her outbursts and whininess and wishy-washy attitude. Afterall, children of abuse and neglect sometimes develop self-destructive tendencies and sometimes the c... Read more
Review:I was under the impression I was paying for the whole series of 5 books. I only received the pictured book which was Petals in the Wind which is the second in the series I believe. Received full refund and was allowed to keep the book. Read more
Review:For most old school fans of the series they are mad and I get it. But as someone who stumbled upon the series thanks to previews for FITA movie on lifetime I had questioned Cory's death. I liked how it's a more modern take on the story. At 34 in 2014 reading the series it was nice to see a difference in perspective. I wondered if Christopher had impure thoughts and how could he believe his mother. This cleared it up much more. People didn't like SOY either because they wanted to keep the grandpa...
