Review:I purchased this author/book because while reading one of my favorite author's, he mentioned Flannery O'Connor w/ admiration. Some of the best short stories he'd ever read. I had to pick it up.
She is a fine writer, but, not my cup of tea. Subject matter and settings are interesting but fairly depressing, at least for me. Read more
Review:I have no idea why I keep reading these books. A Wikipedia summary would be better written, and would skip all the unrealistic and frankly annoying dialogue. It's really a shame too, because the ideas of these book are really intriguing and interesting. However, they are so poorly executed. Read more
Review:This could have been a good book. It has an interesting dystopia/sci-fi premise, and a few decent plot twists. The writing, however? Awful. The main characture is Susanna English who really wants to join a circle of girls at the parsonage. Review:The book was okay but I didn't like the way the auther jumped around in time with the story. It was irritating. The movie is one of my very favorites. The book does include recipes at the end, so that is nice. Read more
Review:If you like menage stories, you'll love The Choice. Journey Walker had a good life as a physical therapist who got a lot of satisfaction caring for her down syndrome sister. She thought her life was complete until she met two glorious men. Grant and Nash were opposites, one dark and intense and the other fun and easy going. She was attracted to both and began a three week journey with them while her sister was out of town. No spoiler here, but she is drawn to both and has to make a decision... Read more
