Review:The first book was a great coming of age novel and thoroughly enjoyable. I feel that a lot of the encounters were based on the author's experiences as they had some great realism in them and he dated an emotional connection between the characters and the reader. I liked the magic system as well and the whole premise that humanity's under threat.
This though was absolute and utter drivel. The first warning sign was when he said how righteous, fundemental and woman demeaning the desert trib... Read more

Review:The "story" seems less a continuation of the previous books than it is an excuse to use every other chapter to get on a political soapbox about women's rights and how women are better than men in this world. Oh and let's not forget how every group setting either has a openly gay person or someone eyeing the "bugger boys". I swear the author wants to turn this into The Sholan Alliance series for homosexuals

Review:9 chapters filled with quirky humor, murder, red herrings (5) and a hot detective. Not until the last couple of chapters is the real murderer revealed. No, I'm not revealing the doer of the dirty deed. You'll chuckle as you read the murder mystery. It is a quick read so Get with it already!! Read more

Review:I would strongly reccomend that you read books one through six. They are very entertaining and with the box set you can just read one after the other. The author of these books is very talented and should keep this series going as long as her imagination lets her. Read more
