I would strongly reccomend that you read books one through six. They are very entertaining and with the box set you can just read one after the other. The author of these books is very talented and should keep this series going as long as her imagination lets her.

I like series of books so I can become more familiar with the characters and their interactions so this one had me quickly. Once you start, it's hard to put down and when you pick the next one up, it's as thought the other one didn't finish...
Really enjoy these books...

Easy reading and simple story lines, but characters were enjoyable and books were entertaining. Great for light reading and quick reads. I would read more Darcy Sweet stories and would recommend them to anyone looking for easy to like characters. Plots of stories were not overly complicated, but as I said, a light, easy read.

I felt like the stories were watered down and the language poor, like it was written for dimwits. The plot of each story had no depth to it whatsoever. It could've been made interesting but it was more of a "meh, can't be bothered".

I just got done reading the box set. I can't believe that I read the entire set in less than 24 hours. I couldn't stop. I was actually reading and walking.
It was funny, a tad suspenseful, and romantic at the same time.
A perfect read for a rainy day or a beach day.
Go for it!

I enjoyed reading MS Emrick's first six books in this boxed set. They where every enchanting. The way Darcy is always in the thick of things. Darcy is a refreshing character. I plan to continue to more of the Darcy Sweet Mysteries.

Feeling like a good book that does Not make you have horrible nightmares? You can rely upon this series to give you the positive nights and solid reading you want. Well written and has a good storyline. Bringing honest feelings and values to a book. Keep up the good work!

Couldn't put my tablet down once I started a story, very gifted story teller. I will definitely be telling friends and family about these books. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for more. Thanks so much.

Interesting mysteries. Not a fan of the conjuring up of spirits. This series came up on my suggestion list which is odd because as a Christian, I do not read conjuring type books. Maybe someday Darcy could meet the real Spirit? No judgment. Often spirits are not what they appear. Anyway the writing is good :)

Another light read, that also keeps your attention. When I want to read while waiting at a doctors appointment or while my husband is in a boring "men's store" I have J. K. Emrick's Darcy books on my Kindle.

I have read many cozy mysteries, but this set was not my cup of tea. Did not care for Darcy's abilities nor her boyfriend. Found him to be annoying. Three stars because I did finish 5 of 6 books. Interesting enough to want to see the mystery solved.

I read the all six books in just a few days. Aside from a few repeated sentences (I couldn't tell if they were cut and paste errors or just repeating for emphasis), I found this to be well written and edited for a self-published ebook. The character of Darcy is engaging and the stories were solid and only a bit predictable-- but sometimes we secretly like to figure it out before the big reveal. The mysteries also varied in intensity, and sometimes were more puzzle-like than life-threatening. Also, I was incredibly pleased that it was not stuffed with needless adult scenes- there was romance but nothing gratuitous. I prefer married romance, but this wasn't offensive to me. She is a truly caring person. I found myself rooting for her. I will likely continue to read these books, because I like the characters in this friendly simple town where everybody walks around all day being friendly and nosey. I can't wait to see what happens the next time the mist settles in Misty Hollow.

I really enjoyed the flow of one mystery to the next. They are an easy read and keep you wanting to see what is going to happen next. I recommend them to everyone who likes a mystery and especially those who crave a little bit of the supernatural tossed in.

I enjoyed this series. The author did a excellent job in their description of the town, the people even the cat! Each book can be read alone or as a series. I will be watching for more book's by K.J. Emrick.

Cute short stories but when read back to back flow nicely. I personally like Longer books, but have fallen for these stories, a lite mysteries, a lite love story, with a cat that rules. Enjoy the series on a weekend in the sun or snow

I enjoy a nice short story, so I can just read one and put the others down for another day or time. One of the things I enjoy in these stories is the main character is not some wimpy female. These stories are fitting for young adults as well as for older people.

I think this series is a great read for people who love a cozy mystery and just want something to take them into the lives of the characters in the book and allow them to temporarily escape from their normal life.

Great set of characters ! Loved following them through the first set of 6 books and can't wait to load the next set and get started reading. Wouldn't have necessarily picked a book with paranormal theme, but it is so well written that I thoroughly enjoyed them all so far and expect that to continue.

Lean on plot, lean on mystery, lean on character development. This is an easy read, but the writing is weak. I kept reading the books because I thought for sure these would improve... I am still waiting for the stories to actually develop from sophomoric plots.

These were quick reads that had me turning pages to find out what happened next. My only complaint is the constant switch between 1st and 3rd person. When the author is describing what the main character is doing, she is in 3rd person and then switches to 1st person when the character speaks. Either the main character should be telling the story or the narrator - not both. At least she didn't do that with the other characters as well. The were all presented in the 3rd person.

If you are going to write a book that takes place in a state or town you are unfamiliar with. Or make sure you or your editor actually edits the book! Please make sure you are spelling names of towns and words correctly. I am from Hawaii and trying to read this book made me cringe! It is "Makaha" not "Mahaka" and it's "Kalihi" not "Kahili".

After buying both sets, I starting reading and was sorry to see that Darcy deals in witchcraft.
Sorry, deleting both sets.
The plot, as far as I got, seems just like all the other cozy mysteries out there, but with a supernatural twist
of the ghost & poor misunderstood witch kind. Not interested in reading more. Bummer...a waste of money and
I hoped I had 10 more books to read. I read a lot of the store Kindle books, but this one slipped by me in the description.

Could only read half of the first book , rest would not come through. The copywrite info is included in the title ,so it opens first before you can read the story The books are handled as a group so there is no individual information. The story might be interesting but I wouldn't know.

This set of Six books is a nice exciting read! Darcy Sweet is a young lady raised by her Aunt Millie who can talk to the Dead. Darcy inherited her aunt’s House and Book Store. The good and Bad thing about that is after Aunt Millie passed away she decided to stay in the book store that she loved so much. Darcy also has “Skills” concerning the dead. The town they live in is a small comfortable city. In the first book Darcy encounters a new police officer Jon, who though she is attracted to him she has doubts about him concerning the death of one of her Friends. This is made worse because the Officer is her Sister Grace’s new partner. The Story gets very convoluted and intense from here. It’s a very great Read and by having a set of Six books you really get to know and enjoy the Characters!! But as is the usual case in my Reviews this is all you get!!! I do not want to spoil your Read of them!!! All I can say is, these are very enjoyable and interesting reads! Enjoy em.

Darcy Sweet is the bomb. Funny always finding trouble but she loves books how fantastic. These are definitely fun, fast reads. I finished all six of them in a week. A little mystery, a little romance and fun conflicts to keep your interest. I recommend these to everyone who are tired of the play by play sex scenes that you really don't need, it is more fun to put your own imagination to good use. Who knows your story might be better....

Darcy Sweet is a great character who owns a bookstore and always finds trouble. She and her boyfriend the policeman, Jon, solves mysteries through Darcy's 'gift' and Jon's police work. It's a fun read for a laid back afternoon or by the fire with hot coco!

This is a cozy mystery x6 . I found that the end wasn't all that predictable, the characters believable, and the touch of paranormal, in all six stories was just what makes them a pleasure to read. Really enjoyed all six, now l have to go so l can start on the next set of Darcy Sweet books. Thanks K. J. Kendrick for writing, you chose the right occupation

I really enjoyed this series, the main character Darcy is always finding trouble and that keeps her character interesting. Her friends and family are a big part of her life and their stories help keep the series from getting boring.
