I liked the small town and it’s many interesting characters. The plot was interesting and the secrets revealed as the murderer was slowly being tracked down kept my interest and made for good reading.

A really quick, fun read.
Tess' travails a very realistic mixed in with her detecting. She & Honey make a great team.
Really appreciate her including her marvelous recipes instead of just telling us how good they are & how much everyone enjoys them.
An absolutely hilarious cozy mystery (The Chapelwick Mysteries) (Volume 1) :: An Althea Rose Mystery (The Althea Rose Series Book 1) :: Honeymoon Cottage (A Pajaro Bay Mystery Book 1) :: A Lainie Lovett Mystery (The Lainie Lovett Mysteries Book 1) :: Dying for Dinner Rolls (Georgia Coast Cozy Mysteries Book 1)

I really enjoyed this book. Would recommend to others. The mystery is not obvious, or at least to me it kept me thinking I knew who it was only to find another twist.

Note: I don't see the book as having violence. There are incidents, but not what I would call violence.

Was pleased with the story line and characters some were repetitious though. I , living in Arizona was just so so about the story location. I will definitely read the second book when it becomes available

It was my first time reading Heather Justesen's novel, and it was very good. It was humorous, exciting, romantic, and had delicious recipes too. I will definitely read her other books and try her brownie recipe!

Great Book! It has just a bit of romance on the side but not the heavy breathing kind of thing. The ending was a total surprise! I thought I had it figured out but, boy was I surprised. I think you'll enjoy this book.

A very Sweet and cozy mystery by Heather Justesen which will have you wanting to bake up the included recipes! Tess Crawford, has just moved to Silver Springs, AZ from Chicago after the death of her grandmother. The motivation for the move was actually due to finding her fiancé kissing a coworker at the Hotel where she baked the cakes for events and other mouthwatering deserts, such as the Rocky Road Brownies. Tess is thrown into a pool of murder suspects after her discovery of a dead body under the table where she was setting up a wedding cake. Tess' best friend, Honey, is helping to find answers why the Maid of Honor was murdered and to eliminate Tess from the suspect list.
A clever and sweet mystery you can read in an afternoon! Oh yes...the recipes sound delicious!

Tess just moved from Chicago to a little town in Arizona to open an award winning bakery near Prescott. First catering gig out, she crosses swords with the matron of honor and the next morning finds her body under the dessert table, making her a likely suspect. Figuring the local cops aren't going to look too hard for the real killer, Tess and her best friend start looking themselves. Throw in several good looking men and a surprise ending a and you've got a good book. Plus you get some great recipes. Try the chocolate cheese cake and the blintzes....yum!

I've been wanting to start this series for a while. It was such a fun read and a great little mystery. Tess just moved back to her small home town to open a bakery when she discovers a dead body. When she becomes a suspect in the murder she figures she better try to shove the case so she doesn't end up in jail. I like the addition of the recipes in the book. I can't wait to try out the eclair one and see how good they are. Can't wait to read the next one in this set!

I loved the recipes were included! The story was great. I couldn't imagine such a crazy situation and odd people. I loved the main character. She was down to earth and really wasn't afraid of anyone or trying new things. She sure got herself in hot water and I loved reading her adventures

I liked the storyline the most. It was amazing that someone who moved back to her home town got involved in a murder.

What I liked least is the fact that she was going behind the cop's back conducting her own investigation. Since the author focused on this being a small town, it would seem like someone would have said they were going to the cops on her...

I adore the characters in this series. And the mysteries are always so much fun to try and solve--because I am always wrong. Love spending more time with Tess and her bakery crew as they join forces to bring about justice. Plus, a little romance and kissing makes these stories such a fun escape. Fabulous reading, and delicious eating.
