The 'bad guy' is obvious early, but ... A very enjoyable suspense story, well written, with likeable and interesting characters throughout. Definitely worth reading, and I will be buying more books from this author.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast read, a bit suggestive but clean, not gruesome, and had a twist to the plot. We all have personal challenges and I loved how Camilla worked to face hers, it was inspiring.

This is just the book to take on vacation. The characters are likable and the plot, while interesting, is not so complicated that you must give your full attention to the story. The main character, Camilla, is the guardian for Oliver, her former boyfriend's son. The boyfriend has scammed her and ruined her reputation, but she works to be a good "second mother" for the boy. There is mystery and romance in this unusual "who done it" book.

This book is a great vacation read; it has it all! The characters are interesting without being cheesy. The twist at the end was very unexpected. The only thing I would like to have seen is more character development on the realtor (not Robin, the other one) as she had such an important role. I am definitely looking forward to more books by this author!

I really enjoyed this book and the characters were believable not to perfect like you find in a lot of romance novels.glad to see something different in the story line from the others out there that are so like every other one

This book is a sweet love story and a great mystery. The characters were personable and believable. The only negative was the crude language. In my opinion, a book cannot be great without being clean--language included.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was had a different pace from what I am used to reading but it was refreshing. A good romantic suspense story where your cheer for the main characters to work through their demons and be with each other.

Story mostly set in odd little house in California focuses on a woman's attempts to avoid a serial killer and new romance. Has a twist in the ending. Contrasts the danger to a charming close knit community that helps people heal.

I was excited to read this, but was a bit disappointed. I would have preferred more character development. The plot twists seemed too short to really hold my interest. It was clean & sweet, but I will not finish this series.

Characters Camilla and Ryan had more smarts then the writer gave them credit. Some of the simplest tasks or conversations were more difficult to get through then putting events together should have been. Still a good read and interesting setting.

I enjoyed the book thoroughly as a light read. There are days when only a light read will do. The book certainly needed more digital editing. The sentences from would page to the next were repeated on several occasions.

This is the first book by Barbara Cool Lee that I have read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The mystery had lots of twists and turns that kept me turning pages and the romance was wonderfully sweet. This is good book and I recommend it to everyone who likes cliff hanging scenes and sweet romances.

About 1/3 of the book is interesting and well written. The rest is the author going on and on about the feelings and such that has no point in the plot. Mystery book? Not so much. Icky, sicky romance novel? Yep. Worth reading? Nope. I skipped more pages than I read.
