Review:First off, I love the Bridgerton family - except for the Cynster family they are my other favorite historical family. The love, the wit, the dialog between these siblings and their wonderful mother are unequaled in any other books. Each Bridgerton is so unique - and each story so different. Benedict and Sophie meet 2 year before when she sneaks off for one night like a Cinderella at the masqued Bridgerton ball. Benedict is totally captivated by the lady in silver - but since she is living the ... Read more
Review:I read this book when it was first released, but have waited until now to add my two cents so my opinion would be well considered, rather than a knee jerk reaction to Quinn's novel. Pure and simple.... I did not like the book. I understood that Mr. Cavendish was the same story as Lost Duke, told from a different point of view, but it just didn't work. We didn't really get another point of view with this story - simply a rehash of Lost Duke, with a little new info added. I know a writer of Ms. Q... Read more
Review:It almost seemed as if the writer wanted the reader to decide if the characters were dealing with interdimensional beings or demons or if they are the same thing. I was upset that the police involvement was so down played. I always suspend belief when beginning a fantasy type book but this was just too off the mark. Read more
Review:Spell Bound is book 12 in the Women of the Otherworld series, and it is told from the perspective of Savannah, so it has definite YA crossover potential. I love this series, Elena and Clay are probably my favorite characters, but Eve and Savannah run very close seconds. I was very excited to dive back into the Otherworld and find out what craziness Savannah would get herself into this time.
Turns out that Savannah has lost her powers, and with the madness that always seems to follow thi... Read more
Review:Well dang it, I wanted to dislike this book, I really did. There are more than enough badly written stories blurring the lines of my dearly beloved fantasy and science fiction with the horrible romance section to make me want to throw up. This book looked like another one of those silly throw away cheesecake reads with a little magic thrown in to keep the bodice ripper readers happy. Right? Nope, it's fun, it is a quick happy read and I really enjoyed the whole thing.
Yes the three si... Read more
Review:The book was great. I really enjoyed it. I read most of his books. Of course, I like the longer ones but the bookshots are very handy when traveling or in between projects.
The vendor, Any Book, provided excellent service. Read more
Review:The story about the trial was good. Unfortunately, the author included a lot of religious content. It started out as a little bit that went with the story but by the end, it was as much as the actual story. I found it off-putting and found myself skipping those pages. It also took away from the story about the trial and finding the guy who did it. Read more
Review:I had planned to purchase this book regardless of what any reviewers said simply because I was already committed to the series and wanted to know what happened.
For whatever reason, this particular book was burdened with far too much useless dialog that did little to develop the story. There are too many pages of text devoted to boring, pointless conversations among the characters (or to the private thoughts of given characters). There was comparatively little action. It's almost as thoug... Read more
Review:I really wanted to like this book because, for the most part, it is well written with minimal grammar and spelling mistakes. However, the story has no suspense or progression. The MC is OP'd from the beginning. With a newbie ability he is able to change the ground into liquid which traps everyone he fights. Ironically, he mocks his opponent as dumb but his own fight strategies are one dimensional. 1) Drop opponent in mudpit. 2) harden mudpit. 3. Rinse and repeat. Not only is the MC OP'd, he is ... Review:These books are entertaining with great characters, a great plot, and good adventures. As with other books by this author I find that I skip over several pages at a time when the characters reminisce, when their minds wander to retell the story, or the scenery becomes extremely descriptive . The book could do with at least 100 less pages and still be as good. Read more
