Selected Stories of Philip K. Dick
Selected Stories of Philip K. Dick

Review:I thought the stories were pretty dated and did not hold up well today. After seeing the Minority Report and Total Recall, these two stories were a bit of a dissapointment. Other authors, such as Asimov, Norton and Heinlein wrote stories that have held up much better over the years. I would not recommend Dick's stories. Read more

A Maze of Death
A Maze of Death

Review:I would give this novel 3 1/2 stars. It touches on questions of life, death, religion, human nature, etc. It seemed shorter and felt more like a short story as compared to a novel. I enjoyed it, and would recommend it, however I don't feel it was Dick's best. Read more

VALIS (Valis Trilogy)
VALIS (Valis Trilogy)

Review:Valis is the product of a few things: Dick's 1974 hallucinatory experiences, his belief that whetever the eye sees is reality on some level, and his own zany brand of writing.
The book consists of a mix of autobiography, Dick's Gnostic philosophies, his interpretations of his 1974 experiences, and a fictional story of schizophrenically-projected Horselover Fat (projected by none other than "Phil" who has written himself into the story ala 'Radio Free Albemuth') so it's not really a fictional ... Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changelings, Book 1)
Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changelings, Book 1)

Review:I've been a fan of Nalini Singh's since I first came across her Guild Hunter series back in 2011 and I've been wanting to try her Psy-Changeling series for just as long, and last week I finally bit the bullet and borrowed the e-book from my library.

And you know what? I loved it. I did, I really, really did. I was totally surprised by the fact that I loved it because of the sci-fi and paranormal blend which I thought was pretty unique compared to the other romances I usually read.

Archangel's Storm (A Guild Hunter Novel)
Archangel's Storm (A Guild Hunter Novel)

Review:I was disappointed with this book and it was a chore to finish. It seemed like ever so often Ms. Singh would realize the relationship between the characters was just too anemic and she would try to force some passion; then it'd wander back to anemia. Read more

Shards of Hope (Psy-Changeling Novel, A)

Review:I have read everything from this author . That being said ,this book dragged . I felt myself wanting to skip a lot of it .I still gave this four stars because I did like the main characters . I will always buy these books I am a die hard fan! But I guess you can't love them all . Read more

Rock Addiction (Rock Kiss Book 1)
Rock Addiction (Rock Kiss Book 1)

Review:Semi-interesting characters but without a strong storyline to back it. There was too much physical intimacy than was needed. But it seemed like she did it to fill up the pages. This could've been a shorter novella actually. I wouldn't have stayed with the book till the end if it wasn't for Nalini Singh who happens to be my favorite author and creator of such strong characters and complex story lines. This one seemed weak and almost frivolous. :( Read more

Wild Embrace (Psy/Changeling Collection, A)
Wild Embrace (Psy/Changeling Collection, A)

Review:Lovely stories about some of our past characters. I mostly enjoyed Dorian's story. In this book we find out how Tazia & Stefan met & got married. Then we have a past to present regarding Dorian's latency until he meets his mate Ashaya and is finally able to shift. So much feels for this part of the story, as I also must admit that out of this series, Dorian & Ashaya's story was one of my absolute favorites! Loved, loved, Felix & Dezi's story of a male submissive wolf with his dom... Read more

A Psy-Changeling Novel (Psy/Changeling Series Book 11)

Review:Rias told Hawke" you're the only one I know who found his mate twice & Hawke responded "If Rissa lived, I would've been mated for years before I ever met Sienna"??wth?
Hawke still believes Rissa is his mate? This contradicts what he said In Kiss of Snow "it was easier to believe that my shot at mating died w Rissa than to risk that kind of pain again"( because they never mated, they were kids) Changelings only mate once!
Rias did not pursue his mate Lissete? But they never mated. Inste... Read more
