Review:His ideas truly changed our world. We would never have our modern electrical distributuion with Edison's short sighted DC distribution ideas. However he spent too much of his book on on his brain and its flashes. Read more
Review:This is a slim volume (the version I have is 246 pages) so I was able to read it in a couple days. A time period is not referenced in this book so it took a while for me to finally get some idea of when this occurred. Eleanor, the main character, co-owns a car so I assumed this was set in more "modern" times (1950s or later). It wasn't until after Eleanor arrived at the home and was talking with someone (I believe Dr. Montague) that I was able to figure out that the time period was the early ... Read more
Review:I first read Raymond Chandler when I recieved The High Window, The Lady In The Lake, Farewell, My Lovely and The Big Sleep, as Christmas gift's in 1965 when I was in High School. I went on to read all of Chandler's work and Dashiell Hammett's as well. I really enjoy the hard boiled detective style of fiction. I bought these novels as Christmas gifts for my Grandson seeing as how he is now in High School and hope he might enjoy them as much as I did. Read more

Review:A great book at a great price. Great service. I purchased this as a textbook for a summer online class at college. Overall a great book but it is larger in size than I expected (so I am glad I do not have to travel with it) (approx 9 x 11 x 2 and about 3 lbs). print is nice and clear in two columns per page. Seven great stories for Christian living, in one volume. Thank You Read more

Review:This is one of my favorite stories by one of my favorite authors. So glad they created an audio version. Good listening for long road trips. Just a good book period, breaking down the different avenues used to destroy our souls. Read more
Review:Oh how I hate when a book comes to the end and especially one as good as this one was....I love Vlad and Leila's story and find it punishing to have to wait for the rest!! I honestly have not read a story that I haven't enjoyed from this author...she is without a doubt, one of my favorites. If you have not read any thing from Ms. Frost do yourself a huge favor and get one of her books, I guarantee that you won't be disappointed. Read more
