Review:These books were fast paced, funny and enjoyable. Not your regular vampire books, thank you very much. Very well written. Thank you, Rick, for providing and great series of books that I will continue to read. Read more
Review:In the continuing saga of Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden, the reader seldom sees what is coming next. W elearn more about Harry's back story as well as watch him protect his apprentice from the White Council and herself. Read more
Review:Only a couple of stories worth reading, the rest was trash that I skipped through due to unnecessary foul language or poor writing. It's quite a bit of money to pay for a mostly unreadable book. Very disappointed. Read more
Review:This book has been on my to buy list for the past year and thanks to Kindle Unlimited, I finally was able to check it out. The story starts out rather slow and there is lots of questions to answer but half way in the novel, I was hooked. Skylar is a likeable main heroine and she does some growing up throughout the book and I am looking forward to reading what's next in store for her. Read more
Review:The book is a great read. Jim Butcher does it again. Great story line with amazing twists. Also explains a lot of the council's functions that I never quite got in the other books. Can't wait to read the next one. Read more
Review:First and foremost, this is exactly what it claims to be...I have knocked it two points, because it really isn't very long, and frankly overpriced for what it is. The art is fine to good. The story is a good short story quality piece, that is a nice fun read. Did I mention it was short? Read more
Review:Most of these I have ready previously. None seemed as well crafted as the books. Felt a little as if I was a convenient wallet being opened... Also, not fond of the weirdness going on with Maggie... Just wanting my good old Harry Dresden books back on track again! Read more
Review:I was assured that the series would pick up by the third book. While some slight improvements have been made (allies are no longer the main hindrance, Harry is facing some of his many character flaws) the story isn't much better. Still too much reliance on weak premises for conflict (how many times is he going to drop his staff and wand?) , deus ex machina, and flat characters. I really want to like these book but I just don't. The premise is fantastic then is wasted on poorly conceived foes ... Read more
Review:It was nice to see the new short story that takes place right after Harry gets shot and goes missing. I was expecting more. As a stand alone story about Murphy, it worked and was OK. The old stories, re printed are all ok as well. I want more about his old partner. What ever happen to him? Am I glad I own it, yes. It is always fun and an enjoyable read. Read more
