Review:This is such a well put together book, I love the keepsakes that are tucked into the pages, like copies of the Cast Calls, the tickets to the premiere's etc. This is a quality book, the avid Twilight fan will eat this up. This will definitely be a collectors item one day.
The photos are beautiful, the content is put together so well. Love it! Read more
Review:Back when I was beginning a career in motion picture development, a 7 page memo from someone in the story department at Disney started making the rounds, explaining how the elements of Joseph Campbell's The Hero's Journey could be used in writing scripts. The author of the memo was Chris Vogler and here he's fleshed out the points into a powerful book that ties the power of mythology into interesting and easy-to-understand ways to use that power in telling our stories, using examples from curre... Review:This is a great book for MLP lovers. My daughter sits and reads this for so long! She learns facts she didn't know from the show and shares them with us all. It's much more interesting than I expected. Read more
Review:If you're a Dan & Phil fan, this is a must have. I'm not -- but... my daughter is. It's not that I'm not a fan. It's just I don't "like" and "subscribe". This book is full of wonderful color pictures. It's heavy. If you have weak arms, it's probably not the book for you unless you reading it on a table. Sadly, my version did come with a little ripple indentation in the hard cover. It's not like I'm going to send it back though. I'd probably end up with the same book sent back to me.... Read more
Review:I had to buy this for a college course. I might as well have wiped myself with the pages. If you are looking for a whole bunch of politically correct lectures about how all of the world's problems are caused by heterosexual, white males, then this is the book for you. If you have to buy this for a college class, I'm sorry. Read more

Review:Jenna Fischer’s phenomenal book ‘The Actor’s Life’ is factual, funny and a fantastic guide to the world of acting. This is one of those books that is informative, personable yet so enjoyable that you can’t stop reading. I am not an actor but I personally loved this book and it is one that works on so many levels.
The book starts out with Ms Fischer interest in acting and her school productions and then through her education which includes the many different facets of her experiences. S... Read more
Review:My three-year-old daughter and I love fancy Nancy. This book covers Valentine's Day. The ending is cute and there is a little mystery in the middle. As always Nancy and her friend Bree are dressed fantastically and their hair is as beautiful as can be. The drawings are just amazing. The wordage, always sounds to me like a little girl, maybe six or seven years old. Always fancy words with an explanation. Great series Read more
Review:This novel was a MAJOR disappointment. The writing style is great - if not a bit overly dramatic. The novel's atmosphere didn't feel so much "Gothic" as someone quit young trying to be "Gothic". To top it off, all the characters - especially our heroine - are terribly boring and/or underdeveloped.
Also - I HATED that our heroine kept mentioning her "cursed g*psy blood" - a phrase she apparently picked up from her French grandmother. Uh. . .Ms. Howard - G***y is a major slur toward Romani ... Read more
Review:I really loved this book. It was everything I was expecting.
The writing was easy and flowy and sucked me right in. I loved that the chapters alternated between Norah (written by Rachel Cohn) and Nick's (written by David Levithan) point of view. Of course it made perfect sense for the setting to be in New York. I've never been to New York but I imagine it to be huge and scary, but at the same time filled with endless possibilities of adventure.
The novel starts off with us meeting ... Read more
