My three-year-old daughter and I love fancy Nancy. This book covers Valentine's Day. The ending is cute and there is a little mystery in the middle. As always Nancy and her friend Bree are dressed fantastically and their hair is as beautiful as can be. The drawings are just amazing. The wordage, always sounds to me like a little girl, maybe six or seven years old. Always fancy words with an explanation. Great series

This is an adorable book - bought it for my great-granddaughter and had to have a copy for myself, just because the illustrations are so colorful and entertaining. Great imagination went into this book and makes for fun for a little girl.

My daughter just turned 3 and loved the stories in this collection when I read it to her. She is bi-lingual (English and Chinese) and she gets that some of the words are in French and repeats and translate them back to English.

This book is probably the most clever way to expand your little ones vocabulary. I bought this for my 4 year old twins and it's amazing how much they have learned! The book uses "big" words yet calls them fancy words, so cute!

My kids love Fancy Nancy. The format works and they enjoy it. This addition is solid, and plays up being happy for a friend when they have success. Nice lesson.
That said, there is nothing new, and the story isn't as charming as previous additions. My kids gravitate to the earlier Fancy Nancy's.

Fancy Nancy is my daughters favorite book series right now. She is so funny and it's good because my daughter has added a few words into her vocabulary (she calls them her "Fancy Nancy" words). In this book Fancy Nancy has a great time teaching her family to be "fancy" just like her. Full of laughs for everyone.

This is a adorable and is great for little girls. I bought it used in good condition for a few dollars and it looks new. My daughter loves the Fancy Nancy books. But, this one doesn't have the fancy words in the back like some of the other books we have.

Purchased as a replacement for a well-used and well-loved book for my grand-daughter. She is 2-1/2 now and treating her books a little better than a few months ago. I remember reading this to her during my last visit earlier this year. It was in so-so shape then (purchased from a local Thrift Shop - thrift shops are great places for finding treasures). Since she liked Fancy Nancy so much, I recently found a few here on the store at a very reasonable price and while picking from the many the store offers, I decided to replace her first one with a new Hardback one. I'll be seeing her again soon and looking forward to reading them to her again, while she pretends to read along.

I bought this book for my daughter's 3rd birthday. She absolutely loves this book! Great illustrations and a fun story. She will request this book to be read to her. I have to talk her into reading another book just so we aren't reading "Fancy Nancy" 7 days a week. This book is interactive in the sense that there is soooooo much detail to the illustrations that you can spend so much more time on the pictures than just the words. I would recommend this book to all little girls that have a good imagination or need to spark their imagination. I think this will be a good book for my daughter for years to come! I can't wait to see what other "Fancy Nancy" books are out there to add to our library!

Fancy Nancy is a very enchanting book. It tells of the story of Nancy trying to teach her family how to become fancy. She knows she's a fancy person but it upsets her that her family isn't as fancy as her. It's a nice and charming book for young children to read. The reader themselves will want to become fancy just like Fancy Nancy.

My 3 year old absolutely loves this book. The first time we checked it out from the library I didn't really think she cared for it much. But, then I happened to order it for one of her little friend's birthday and she was sooo excited! She ran around saying, "it's Fancy Nancy mommy!" It took some convincing to be able to wrap it up for her little friend. Everybody needs a little "fancy" in their life.

My granddaughter absolutely loves this book. She is 4 and could "read" it back to me after only a few times listening. Her new favorite word is stupendous and we always put fancy toothpicks in our sandwiches and eat with our pinky's raised and call each other darling. It's so much fun and we can hardly wait for the sequel in March.

This book is adorable especially for little girls who like to dress up and look fancy. The story is heart warming and funny but in the end, it teaches about love and family. Nancy's search for way to sound fancier also teaches children wonderful new vocabulary words(sometime in French as well).

My daughter got this book on her 4th birthday and Fancy nancy is our new religion. We read it every night twice and then she pretends to be fancy nancy and we act out the story. It is a very cute and appropriate book for little girls discovering their new worldS. The best gift we received.

I love the Fancy Nancy books because besides being super cute, they help extended a child's vocabulary. She'll use a "fancy" word and explain the meaning in simpler terms, like "delectable" means yummy. A wonderful teaching tool and very entertaining!

We previewed at the library and wanted a copy for our bookshelf. This one is a little worn, but at least the publisher's paper and binding was reasonable quality to begin with. Expect it will last until she outgrows Fancy Nancy.

My granddaughter is a fancy girl. At almost age 4 she is rarely without her tiara and jewelry, even when wearing her pj's (which should of course really be a nightgown, preferably well-trimmed with lace and pink thank-you-very-much). I purchased this book for her for Christmas and enjoyed reading it myself. Now it has become her favorite book. The nice part is that as an adult, it's not just tolerable to read over and over again; it's enjoyable. So, we no longer wear purple at our house, we prefer "fuschia" because afterall, that is a fancier word than just "purple."

This book is a feast for the eyes. Beautifully illustrated and with a very nice lesson about love and family, this book is a favorite of mine(and my three year old loves it as well). Nancy lives in her own little fancy world, but she is loved for who she is. This book is a great read. Adults and children will be happy to sit down and read this one

What a wonderful character Jane O'Conner has birthed! From the first read I and my little ones loved Fancy Nancy and her exploits in trying to make her family as fancy and glamorous as she is. This book is on our Christmas list and I expect that my littlest DD will find several Fancy Nancy volumes tucked in her stocking but of course as a budding author myself I reread this first book over and over trying to analyze the genius of O'Conner in catching the inner princess in us all and opening our eyes to the darling delightful world of Nancy.
