Review:I love this cookbook! I bought it for my wife but was hogging it so much I bought a second one for myself! I don't like most cookbooks because they tell you how to prepare a dish but they don't tell you why the ingredients work so well together. So if the dish does not quite taste the way I like, I have no idea how to fix it. This cookbook goes into detail about how the four elements, salt, fat, acid and heat, are used to create great dishes! I even learned how to make my own balsamic vinaigrett... Read more
Review:I used this book in a senior-level university photography course, and it was a good read, but I feel it belongs more in a freshman class or grade school. The book is well written, and does a decent job at not being wordy where it shouldn't be, however, it's mostly basic stuff for anyone who has already experienced the fears of being an artist. Some things were new and beneficial insights for me, but a lot of it was just bringing my existing thoughts and feelings to words. Read more
Review:Mark Lewisohn has put together a phenomenal and very detailed Anthology of the Bealtes recorded music. The day to day "logs" of the recording sessions shows how the Beatles progressed through their career and how they eventually took much more control of the way thing were done in the studio. A great read for Beatle fanatics. Read more
Review:Alright this new edition is a good book. Lots of color pictures and good descriptions. There are some issues though. I live in Texas and either we don't have as many as other areas or they didn't really cover what we do have but there is hardly any of my local flora in that book. However it will still be in my day pack anywhere I go and as far as I have found this is better than most and as good as any. Read more
Review:I agree with all the author was saying about retirement. It's a time to reinvent yourself and pursue hobbies, or even new careers. The author proves that one does not need $500,00 in an IRA to retire. Ernie's book shows the way to enjoyment of life!!! Read more
Review:This is a great guide to just about anything you would want to know about living off the land. Not something you would want to read cover to cover, but very interesting to look up a topic and learn about it. Read more
Review:It's a great piece, but it's not comfortable to carry-around. The pages are a little thing, but it works as a great composite piece. As a whole, It's great. However, If you're looking for individual pieces, get the individual plays. Read more
Review:I bought this for my son, the Lego nut! I was originally going to keep it and give it to him for Christmas, but he kept asking for it every time he would see an ad for it online, so I gave it to him a few months early!
The book itself is great. It has full-page closeups of just about every Lego Star Wars minifigure ever produced. Along with the pictures there are all kinds of fun Lego facts about the minifigures, their variations, and even what sets they are included in.

Review:This book is largely New Age mumbo jumbo such as guided imagery and eastern meditation. Don't waste your time with such nonsense. If you want to learn how to be a man forget the magical thinking and go to the source. The Measure of a Man by Gene Getz will get you started. Read more
Review:We homeschool, and I just can NOT tell you how much trouble I've had finding a timeline for a history supplement that I really, really like! This is the closest I've found, and I'm happy to have it!
