Review:Just loved this book. During the aftermath of Storm Sandy 2012 and weeks of no electricity. this book and a flashlight got me through much frustration. Ties the human experience to ancient artfacts. A keeper. Read more
Review:Not an easy reading book. As a musician, I did not expect it to be a psychology book. I expected it to be how the brain and music, like mathematics and music, support each other. The writer rambles on and on about the same thing over and over in each anecdotal story he writes about - very monotonous. Stopped reading after part 1 (chapter 6). Very disappointed in the book. Review:This is the most inflammatory of Mr. LaVey's first four books. In the other three books, Mr. LaVey attempts to explain his philosophy to the reader. His explanations include cosmetics to make the philosophy more attractive.
In "The Satanic Rituals" Mr. LaVey provides the text (in English plus the original German) of the actual rituals used within The Church of Satan, plus instructions sufficient to allow a priest to conduct each ritual. The rituals are presented with *very* little in... Read more

Review:An overall enjoyable book that presents a selective view of American history. As all authors he picks and chooses his source material and provides a meaningful exercise in detecting liberal bias however subtle. A lood read but caveat emptor if you are looking for an unbiased work. Read more
Review:'A fascinating look at the follies of mankind regarding conflict and wars. As I read the book I regretted that Ms. Tuchman was not around to observe the ultimate folly of Iraq and Afghanistan. This seemed to me to be ultimate folly.
At forest I had a hard time figuring out why Ms. Tuchman chose the th... Read more
Review:I was looking for something more serious than the typical "how to change your strings" book designed for players.
This one is a must. I do all my own set-ups and adjustments and this book covers all the bases, even beyond what you might feel doing yourself, such a re-setting a neck. Never condescending and very clearly written.
If there is something that you won't feel comfortable doing yourself, at least you will have a good appreciation of the skill level required for a pro to do... Read more

Review:As a person that has a excellent education but never seems to remember what I want to, this is a great chord wheel. I can concentrate on experience sound and structure instead of trying to remember everything with the turn of a wheel and a good understanding of how to use it. Has directions and is great for what cords to play when you choose a key. Also will help you in the proper ear for writing songs. Simple easy to use with basic knowledge. Read more
Review:As mentioned in my reviews of the earlier Works, I find that Luther works too hard to "excuse" Abraham. Sadly, this does extend to the other Patriarchs (and Matriarchs). I find that he is argues far too strenuously in regards the actions of Rebecca and Jacob. It all most comes across as "the ends justifies the means" because these people are ultimately doing God's Will. Now I know Luther does not intend this - as he argues even more strenuously that his readers do not imitate them - that these e... Read more
