Review:I am a long-time Garwood fan, but very dissapointed in her latest book. The story begins when Regan, a goody-goody hotel heiress, interrupts her selfless work when her childhood friends convince her to attend a con-artist's self-help workshop undercover. The would-be guru unplausibly coaxes his audience into preparing a list of aquaintances they consider better off dead--and Regan participates, but looses her list in the parking lot to a killer who takes it literally.
However, the origi... Read more
Review:I started this book as a new experience with Julie Garwood and was great as expected. Lots of action, drama, suspense, love and laughter. I recommend this story to anyone who loves a great love story with action. Read more
Review:Love her writting. And the FBI series is always great. But the same format on every one of these books? I would like to see Sherlock and Savic being more realistic. Never a disagreement is unrealistic. But I enjoy the books. Read more
Review:I almost didn’t read this book beyond the first few pages as the typical novels I read are more literary. What is lacking in prose is more than made up for in a good story that will keep you guessing. Read more
Review:I enjoyed reading this book especially the surprise ending. It took me a few chapters to get into the flow of the book but that is not unusual for me. I just found it to be rather slow at the beginning. Read more
Review:I had high hopes going into this book. For approximately the first 40ish pages or so, it seemed that Faye was going to both spin an exciting Ripper yarn and give us a good Sherlock Holmes pastiche. Dust and Shadow really does start off that strongly. We are immediately thrown into an action sequence that is still highly reminiscent of the original stories and characters. Throughout the novel, her 'voices' are impeccable, this is undeniably well written, so the reader believes this book is going ... Read more
Review:I felt like I was in High School! James Patterson is getting lazy, or just doesn't care anymore, what he puts his name on. A grown man, a Texas Ranger, behaving like a kid in Highschool. The great QB, with his harem of Cheerleaders! Having slept and dated every one of them! Exciting! Geez! He is a narcissist, thinking he's God's gift to women. And a lousy Lawman, on top of it! Back to the drawing board, Mr. Patterson! Read more
Review:A typical Picket story with the well known characters, but this time the writing doesn't flow as it used to. The characters and their thoughts and actions are not quite as believable as in earlier works. Enjoyable, but not his best book. Read more
Review:If you like mysteries, this book is pretty good. However, the sexy scenes were definitely predominant! Do not get this book if you don't like to read about sex! It's certainly the main story, to the point where I felt the mystery part really suffered. Read more
