Highlander's Ransom (The Sinclair Brothers Trilogy
Highlander's Ransom (The Sinclair Brothers Trilogy

Review:I love books like this where the heroines are strong characters, and the heroes are chivalrous strong warriors. If it wasn't for my deep love of indoor plumbing, deoderant, and shaving my legs, I would say I was born in the wrong era. Read more

The Secret (Highlands' Lairds Book 1)
The Secret (Highlands' Lairds Book 1)

Review:I have several books by Julie Garwood. In this one the female character was different, not usual weak and submissive, I liked that a lot. I did not feel that the beginning was dragged out as some reviews said, in fact I rather liked the two girls forming friendship, their dialogue was humorous. I am not so much about explicit sex scenes in romance, the love scenes in this book were tender enough for me and not overwhelming. The plot kept me occupied till the end. All in all it is a good read. It... Read more

Review:I find that in many of the historical romances that I read, the hero and heroine are at odds the majority of the book and you don't have as much of an opportunity to enjoy their relationship. This is not the case here, which is one of the things I liked best about the book. I also adored the hero, who has quickly became one of my favorites! Read more

A Kingdom of Dreams (The Westmoreland Dynasty Saga Book 2)
A Kingdom of Dreams (The Westmoreland Dynasty Saga Book 2)

Review:I expected more from this book. It hardly measures up to WHITNEY, MY LOVE, and I don't see how it got a 4.5 star rating. The first half of the novel seemed promising, but my hopes were squashed by the heroine. At first, her pride and loyalty to her family was touching, but it got old real fast. I didn't enjoy watching Royce suffer and it was hard for me to believe she loved him if she could continue to hurt him.

Unfortunately, I couldn't help but notice the similarities between A KING... Read more

The Lady Travelers Guide to Scoundrels and Other Gentlemen
The Lady Travelers Guide to Scoundrels and Other Gentlemen

Review:A fun, engaging, addictive adventure with an on-the-shelf Spinster and a consummate Scoundrel as your leading characters. This quote from the story rather says it all.
“My dear friend, you know as well as I that the end of the road is never as important as the journey taken to get there. The grail is never as important as the quest.”
I loved this story, and was actually truly surprised, and disappointed, when I turned the page and discovered… this adventure had reached its culmination. AND... Read more

A Lady Out of Time: Helen Foster Book 1
A Lady Out of Time: Helen Foster Book 1

Review:It's not easy finding good time travel stories. That makes this one a real treasure. It's well-written and the story flows.

Helen Foster is a soldier in 2089. She is selected for a special mission. Helen must travel back to 1853 and attend an auction, buy the plans for a terribly destructive weapon called Warmaker, then destroy the plans.

But first things first. Since she can take nothing with her, the first order of business is to find some clothes. Then she must blackmail E... Read more
