Review:This coloring book is much more beautiful than the photos show! It is more of a 'hardcover' & the illustrations are stunning! I'm almost afraid to actually color inbit for fear of messing them up. Read more
Review:I too eagerly anticipated reading this book, since I went through an apron-sewing blitz this summer. I was a bit disappointed, however. Although the photos and instructions are helpful (for seamsters more accomplished than myself), the tone of the book is reactionary, with negative statements about working mothers and a lot of nostalgia for the Ozzie and Harriet era. Although Geisel celebrates the rebirth of the domestic arts, she praises the home-as-nest (enclave of traditional domesticity) rat... Read more
Review:Absolutely loved every single page! I grow my own flowers as well as designing floral arrangements and this book was ever so helpful! I feel it will take my Instagram @enchantedoaks to new heights and I look forward to putting into practice all that I have learne from Erin!!! I highly recommend this book to all flower lovers, not just growes or designers. It truly feeds the soul!!! Read more
Review:While the CONCEPTS of pattern design and manipulation described in this book may someday be useful to me, the actual designs the author demonstrates are largely beyond the bizzare, and the fabrics she chooses may show off the design, but many look like uncomfortable upolstery or home dec fabrics. Review:Susan Orlean obviously did a lot of research, which is spewed back at the reader. Sadly, the book is a confused cross between local history and cultural analysis. Reads like an extended version of a lesser New Yorker piece. That said,I did learn how to transport orchids after primary bloom. Read more
Review:The ideas are interesting, and I believe the steps that need to be followed to get the goggles of your dreams are explained quite well and detailed, however I did not realise that a fully equipped garage with hecksaws, welding tools and other heavy equipment for metal cutting and processing are necessary. So, I have to say, unfortunately, it is quite useless for me. Read more
Review:Nice mix of people/outfits and gadgets in each picture. Paper is thick and my gel pens don't bleed through. Great for the value price. Will continue to buy more of their books as they are the best I've found for the price and quality. Read more
Review:Not really written for a casual hobbyist. Has a section about the ideal workspace and unless you either are super rich or live in a giant house it's unrealistic. Otherwise, good information. Wish there were more beginner projects. Read more
Review:What a wonderful book! I appreciate the descriptions of the history around the projects and the professional advise on use of wool. The pictures are very well done and offer details as well as larger pictures of projects. One day I hope to do this level of quality work with my penny rug projects. Inspiring! Read more
