Review:I'm a huge fan of Steinbeck and couldn't believe I hadn't read "The Pearl" in high school. So, I bought it at Amazon and wasn't impressed with the book. Review:Everybody's complaining about the 99 cent price proint, which I think is quite reasonable. I'm paying $3.62 though, which is a bit much. Is this because I'm signing in from Europe? This concept will not work for me this way, which is a pity, because I love the whole Dickensian idea.
