Review:Both thought provoking and interesting. I think the ideas in this book are very well presented and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It provides perspective to how ideas evolve into things of greatness and how the environments that support these ideas are both a part of nature and also man-made environments. Being able to recognise these aspects of an environment, or lack of is an eye-opener.

Review:While Mr. Whitman and associates may be experts in the HVAC field, they obviously are not effective textbook authors for a beginning HVAC course. The book is cumbersome, somewhat confusing, and very hard to follow. The end of chapter questions are more than difficult to answer based on the information given in the chapter. Review:I purchased this book because I wanted to learn how to set up a VPN network on windows or Linux. I did not find this information. Instead, half of the book teaches very basic windows network features like connecting to a lan or to WiFi or sharing files over the Network and the other half is very elaborate stuff about TCP/IP which I found interesting but it wasn't explained thoroughly enough for me to understand, it was covering fundamentals too quickly such as subnets, zones etc.

Review:Andy Grove has a way of distilling the complex down to very very simple concepts - and he doesn't allude to big ideas - he just tells it straight. Exactly what works and why.
