Review:An excellent analysis of political order and the structural processes required to provide a society with an effective government. Lamentably, it is also depressing for those from countries which have already ingrained noxious processes which are very difficult to remove. Read more
Review:lots of good points and calls for political action. Not the easiest book to read though (it was a slog to finish it).
But a note for those reading it on Kindle, the last third of the book is references, so don't drop it
if you're 50% of the way through and have no idea how he can go on for the rest of the book, you're almost at the end. Read more
Review:Napolitano tells it like it is, sparing the typical fluff you get from the network news analysts. This book provides the insights and template for reversing the insidious government "creep" that is choking what's left of the American Dream. Patriots Unite! Before it's too late. Read more
Review:Well written and captures the true facts about 2 innocent people at the hands of a political agenda. An over zealous prosecutor kratz with more power than he deserves. Twists narrative to match his own. Uses narcissism to win. W a team of invetigators who sold their souls for a fake win. Very clear. Read more
Review:Bought this at my local book store several ago, and found it to be one of the best true crime stories I've ever read. It's so well written; it just pulled me along from chapter to chapter. There is no question that Avery was wrongly convicted of a rape he did not commit and Michael Griesbach tells the story of what it took to free him in a clear, concise, and fascinating manner. A civics lesson well told. Read more

Review:Assigned as text for "Cinema as Art" class. The book is comprehensive. Photo captions are good. Prose is dreadful.
Sole virtue is its popularity among cinematography instructors. Grossly overpriced. Do not buy. Instead, rent
DVDs and study appended commentaries. Read more
Review:Thomas Sowell's "The Quest for Cosmic Justice" consists of four extensive essays. The first of these four gives its title to that of the book. The other three essays are: "The Mirage of Equality," "The Tyranny of Visions," and "The Quiet Repeal of the American Revolution." You may agree or disagree with the analyses that Sowell provides in these essays. But you will be unable to deny that Sowell provides a great deal of food for thought. These essays are Sowell at his best. They were originally ... Read more
Review:A really good book in the analysis of the present situation with the "Deep State" but weak on a possible solution. The system can't be reformed. I fear the best we can hope for is either a Soviet style collapse or another bloody Civil War. Pessimistic yes but at least it is 20 years away. Read more
