Review:Christopher Hitchens is dead, Hillary is retiring, and we have seen the arrival of two presidents who are certainly Clinton's intellectual inferiors. While they may be moral in matters of the bedroom, their politics seem almost as smarmy as the Clintons'. This year's field of Republican candidates does not seem as tainted by scandal as Clinton, but they are likewise untainted by much promise of talent.

Easy to read through and has a great political background. The authors tend to place themselves as observers without trying to influence the reader to a certain ideology. Read more
Review:An excellent analysis of political order and the structural processes required to provide a society with an effective government. Lamentably, it is also depressing for those from countries which have already ingrained noxious processes which are very difficult to remove. Read more

Review:lots of good points and calls for political action. Not the easiest book to read though (it was a slog to finish it).
But a note for those reading it on Kindle, the last third of the book is references, so don't drop it
if you're 50% of the way through and have no idea how he can go on for the rest of the book, you're almost at the end. Read more
Review:Andersen does it great job of historically detailing how we have arived at the position we are in today, especially the political. He walks the reader through what led to the American love affair with relativism. Read more

General Butler gives a whole new view of what is involved in using military force "to protect American interests."
