Review:This book describes over 100 elements of the periodic table from a first-person point of view, making the elements seem like they are people. Review:This book completely lacks Humanities passages, which are certain to show up on the MCAT (~2 passages), and are also typically the hardest passages to tackle. This book is useful to a certain extent to practice timing/strategy, etc., but don't stop here with your Verbal practice. Read more
Review:Great book! Full of inspiration for the classroom. As a reading teacher, this provides me hope that I can be a Book Whisperer, too! I enjoyed this so much that I immediately ordered Donalyn's other book- Reading In The Wild. So far, just as good or better. Read more

Tough presents many ideas, supported by both research and practical environments, that show how to address many of the commonly perceived problems in K-12 education. Not only is it informative, it's a good read. I've purchased copies for a couple of friends. Read more

Reading "My Secret Garden" changed my perception of myself drastically. Those horrid, disturbing thoughts that floated into my brain, that I would shove down quickly as "sick," were indeed fantasies. The brave women who contributed their fantasies and feelings showed me that even if what I was drawn to was "si... Read more
Review:Its a good begining for the rookies in tracing. Takes them step by step. Only gripe is the letters used for tracing are huge. I am wondering whether it is because it would be much easier for them to write smaller when they get to do it..dunno. Read more
