Becoming the Dragon (The Dragon Inside Book 1)
Becoming the Dragon (The Dragon Inside Book 1)

Review:The book reads like some weird info dump. It’s very dry and boring. Could be a result of the translation but I doubt it. And it’s crazy short. Definitely not worth $6. Deeply regret this purchase. Read more

Dragon School: First Flight
Dragon School: First Flight

Review:What a fantastic book.
We are introduced to 16 year old Amel that has just begun Dragon school. No big deal you say?? Anel has always dreamt of flying and becoming a dragon rider and won't let anything get in her way, not even her crippled leg. She has a heart of gold and wants to live life on her terms.
I honestly can say that I loved Amels tenasity. She has been belittled and made fun of and yet she was the most determined and compassionate young lady never letting anyone tell her what s... Read more

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream: Stories
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream: Stories

Review:I'll pass on the literary criticism - others have done it well. But as a creative professional I love this work. It is different in a world of sameness. Gripping, yes. Entertaining? Oh yeah. But better than that it is original. Vibrant. Actually interesting. Even if you don't like this genre it will make parts of your brain long-dormant come out for a peek at what's going on. And that is hard to beat. Read more

The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls
The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls

Review:The greatest, most beautiful, torturing, powerful, insightful and original story of its time. It will make you ache with pain, rejoice with victory and cry out for better or worse. You simply must not only read this book but engulf yourself into the puzzles built within by the author to find real life prized items and find the best friends you never knew you had in your own online ward. You aren't just reading the story, you ARE the story. Read more

A Darker Shade of Magic: A Novel (Shades of Magic)
A Darker Shade of Magic: A Novel (Shades of Magic)

Review:This is an excellently dark story butt not my cup of tea. I can't read fantasy gothic novels if they lack an regular element of delight or humour and this book is consistently distressed. Unlike gaiman novels or many others, it was too unrelenting, too much one side of life,I couldn't read it. Read more

Mother of Shadows (The Chosen Book 1)
Mother of Shadows (The Chosen Book 1)

Review:What can I say- this was a pretty cringey read.

The author does a lot of exposition, like when a character just talks about something a lot so you can get caught up really quickly. I hated that because it felt forced and fast paced.

We read about her vaguely being a peasant for about 2 seconds, then got thrust into a whole new world where everything is dandy and main character (what is her name..?) is perfect at everything she does.

This got very boring very quickly. Read more

The Library at Mount Char
The Library at Mount Char

Review:Good first novel. Feels to me like a mix between Lexicon and A Thousand Kingdoms. I'm not sure if it has earned a spot on my bookshelf but I enjoyed reading it - a fast paced book with twists and turns but only so so character development and no characters that you would want to hang out with. A Reimagining of Cinderella (The Andari Chronicles Book 1)
A Reimagining of Cinderella (The Andari Chronicles Book 1)

Review:I loved this book! It was enough of a twist on the Cinderella story to keep me engaged from the first page to the last, and the balance between witty banter, intrigue, and (clean) romance met my every hope. I'm ready to start on the next book in the series! Thank you to the author for such a perfect, delightful read!

I want to add something. (It's been a few weeks since I finished the book). The two main characters have stuck with me since then, and I realized why. Yes, they feel like rea... Read more

Duel of Fire (Steel and Fire Book 1)
Duel of Fire (Steel and Fire Book 1)

Review:I absolutely love the unique medieval style and world building and world history of this book! The characters are written very well too. I definitely would recommend this book to anyone even if you don't normally read fantasy. It isn't too confusing but at the same time it is complex. Loved this book so much. Dara is an amazing character!!! READ THIS BOOK NOWWWW Read more

A Lunar Chronicles Collection (The Lunar Chronicles)
A Lunar Chronicles Collection (The Lunar Chronicles)

Review:The writer doesn't' take any risk. Book is too predictable along with the series. I myself did not read these books however my gf who i bought them for did. She was not a fan , although i got her the whole series. She says it was a good read but once you read more of her work you feel as if you're in a cycle where the reader can always predict the authors next move. Read more
