Review:Another enlightening book from a wonderful teacher. Whether or not you are Buddhist, read anything she's written and you will learn that even the smallest change in attitude can make a significant difference in your life and the in the lives of those around you...think "the ripple effect." Review:The same friend who recommended The Lost Art of Compassion also recommended Radical Acceptance. Both are excellent! They explain the communities between Buddhist and Western psychologies. Both authors add enough autobiographical information to make the text interesting personally. Tara Brach, author of Radical Acceptance, is "a beloved meditation teacher and psychotherapist" according to her book's introduction. One read demonstrates this is so. Lorne Ladner Ph.D., author of The Lost Art, ... Read more
Review:An excellent addition to my library. Awesome author, will look for more of His work . Hope to learn more of this man and His awesome style of Combat. A truer Samurai has yet to breath the air of life. It's a shame the man isn't alive anymore. We could all learn alot from this Soul. Both warfare and life in General. A very Wise one indeed. Review:I love reading anything by Thich Nhat Hanh and this was no exception. Great little book. However, I was surprised when I received it in the mail because it was so small. I am disappointed in this book. It is smaller than the size of a journal wrapped up into a book with a very basic message. Not what I expected. I now go to the library before purchasing any of his books. Read more
Review:First never admitted how angry I am and have been ever since can remember. This book helped me understand not only that but also why, which in turn internally convinced me of my lack of righteousness in remaining so. Nevertheless lol I am sure will be reading it again for reinforcement. Read more
Review:Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism mark the culture and minds and hearts of all China and influence every aspect of life there still today. Laotze is still revered and honored there, and this book captures the very essence of his teachings beautifully. Over the past 40 years I've bought and given at least a dozen copies of this translation to people who can appreciate the beauty of the thoughts and philosophies. Beyond this, the photos on every other page are stunning and echo the teachings next ... Read more

Review:You can read the gushing praise in other reviews, so I'll only mention the major failing.

That means accepting the idea of free will, which is critical to the justification for the prevalence of violence and torture under Judeo-Christian(JCM) rule. (Buddhism too has faults, although this one may be less significant; Communism we all know; of others I know nothing.) Free will means that anyone who does bad things mu... Read more
