Action & Adventure
Review:This is a new author for me. He introduces a lot of characters and I really don't want to commit to 5 stars until I have all of them straight in my mind. Once I understand those interactions, then the stories should be better. Read more
Review:The Grimiore of the Lamb is a thoroughly enjoyable short story of the Iron Druid. It grants the reader a glimpse into wonderful, sometimes scary, always entertaining world created by Kevin Hearne. Wish it wasn't so short. Read more
Review:I read this whole series back-to-back-to-back. I can't even honestly say I remember which book contains which events. The story is written with so much overlapping action that there is no good stopping place between reading sessions, not even between books! The quips stay sharp and the action sequences never slow down. Read more
Review:I've loved reading The Iron Druid Chronicles. The conversations with the Irish Wolfhounds throughout the series is awesome. I have two amazing friends who are Irish Wolfhounds, and I can see them having these conversations. Always makes me chuckle. Thanks Kevin for a great series, and for sharing your talent with my heart. Read more
Review:After reading previous books, it 'itches' to wait until the new release. Once you have it, you're read it without break. R. Riordan's books take you into his world so you forget everything. Now it itches again, waiting for the sequel. Read more

Review:If I hadn't read some of David Weber's books (e.g. Armageddon Troll, Dahak Series) I might think he was confused about what genre he was supposed to be writing for. He does realize he supposed to be writing science fiction right? I mean, that's the gig I signed up for.
Instead I find myself reading page after page after page of boring historical soap opera. I was going to call it an 'historical drama' but then I realized there really is precious little drama in this 700 page tome. It ... Read more
Review:Each successive book in this series tells less of a story then the previous one. This book could have been summarized in about 50 pages without any loss of information. Will the process eventually converge, or should we expect a new, ever more diluted book every year till Langhorne comes? Read more
Review:I'm going to give this one 4 stars - if you are reading this review you are more then likely already familiar with the series. your main question is probably - does the overall plot actually move at all in this one or is it just a lot of detailed period warfare and discussions on re-invented technology? Trust me I understand - for a writer that is so very good at interesting character driven plot and dialogue Mr. Weber has really been putting us through a lot of . . . other stuff. Well, in an...
